iPhone users: laugh & learn apptivity toy

I was looking at this on amazon after reading post where someone recommended it. It looks like the home button can still be pressed. Is that true? The issue we have now when DS plays with my phone is that he hits the home button and the game disappears. Then he gets all sad and says "mo?" (Elmo) until I can restart the app.

  • Yes! That's the same problem we have. I'm interested in responses to this.

  • Oh, after looking at the thingy you're talking about, I saw that at Kohl's, and, yeah, they can still get to the home button. :(

  • I have it and no they can't.  There's two parts to the piece that covers the screen.  There's a film that protects it from spills but still allows the screen to recognize touch but then there's a small solid plastic bar that runs across the bottom of the phone or itouch.  It's clear so it would look, at first glance, just like the rest of the screen but because it's solid you can't press the home button at all.

Thanks! I will definitely be getting it then.

  • There is also a product called a BubCap, it's a home button cover that is rigid enough that toddlers can't push the button, but adults can. I ordered a multi pack from Amazon recently for less than $10. It is awesome!! Highly recommend.

This. And a tip: put the phone in the case that the plastic rectangle is NOT covering the home button so that *you* can change apps or movies. The thin protective screen is hard enough so that LO can't press it but you can.

Thanks for this, that solves that problem for me.
