LO stops moving for music

In the past couple days I started playing Pandora on my phone and putting the phone near by belly. The baby completely chills out and stops moving when the music is playing. And sometimes he'll move again within seconds after I turn it off. But while its on, no movement at all. That's a good thing right?

It seems like normally we judge if the baby likes something by the fact that they ARE moving so it's kinda weird that music makes him stop moving. I'm hoping it's doing exactly what you hope it does after their born, puts him to sleep!

FYI: The music I was playing was soft Christian music at times and then relaxed R&B, like Brian McKnight at times.

  • Liam does this too. I'm a FTM, so obviously I don't know how it will work once he's out, but I like to say that since DH and I are both musically inclined, he's relaxing and enjoying the music!

  • For awhile baby would get real quiet and still for anything loud.  Like, when I do lunch duty in the cafeteria, and the voices got loud, it seemed like she would shy away from it.  She tends to do that when music is playing, or even when DH and DS are trying to talk to her.  I wonder if she is still bc she is just trying to take it all in??
