We're back on the hunt. The Britax Marathon 70 didn't fit DS or our car. WHAT DO YOU RECOMMEND?
It amazes me that there's such a huge difference in prices. Safety 1st Alpha Omega Elite Convertible is $100 and Britax Roundabout 55 is $200. (The BM70 was almost $300)
We really want something that lasts a long time but we really can't afford $300 right now. We have a few gift cards and a 20% off coupon for Buy Buy Baby so hopefully we'll find a good one today.

We just got the Eddie Bauer XRS 65 convertible and DS loves it. We have a stupid tiny 2 door car, but this fits perfectly, and DS seems really comfortable in it. It goes from 5-40lbs RF and up to 65lbs FF. Good luck with your search!
ETA: Its available at Target, and I think it was $140
thank you!
We have the Britax Marathon in one car, but I just ordered the Cosco Scenera for DHs car yesterday. There was a pink one on Amazon for $60

Though we ended up getting this one (b/c I wanted something gender neutral):

They seem to be pretty highly rated and affordable!
The Alpha Omega Elite is one of the worst car seats out there and is almost universally hated by car seat techs. I would definitely stay away from that one. There's a list of good seats and reviews here.
Check out AlbeeBaby and Amazon too, they have some of the lowest prices plus free shipping and no tax.
