Um you put up a bullshiit post about how horrible abortions are with a VIDEO!! And you expect people to be calm and polite about this? You have some serious social issues if you think this is a mild case of the "isosorries". Yes you did mean to offend people and playing Mrs Meak and Sorry isn't going to smooth any waters. You REALLY have to think before posting something so controversial. You can't for a SECOND have thought that everyone would have been on board w/ this?! In my response to your DD topic I said that I am normally ALWAYS guns ablazen ready to stand up for the innocent unborn child because I am VERY pro-life. BUT that video was so graphic w/in the first 5 seconds I couldn't watch past that. You HAD to have known that by posting this on a pregnancy board you were going to get flamed. Your post was beyond innappropriate and completely uncalled for.

Maybe I am confused and since the post was DD I don't know exactly what was said or linked but is it really that big of a deal that someone posted a link to a pro-life video? I mean if you dont want to see the video then dont click the link but I have seen ALOT of posts (particularly on the tri boards) that are pushing an agenda in some way, whether they be political, religious or even "pregnancy based". Everyone has an opinion about things, particularly when the topic is controversial.

My thoughts exactly. How in the HELL do you sit through something so graphic? And WHY would you post it for other HORMONAL PREGNANT LADIES to watch?! It was "touching"??? Kinda like the Texas Chain Saw Massacre is "touching".
Okay, I cannot and will not watch the video for that very reason, but... is what was shown on the video legal? If it's that bad, why in the WORLD is it legal?? Just askin'.....

Yeah...on a public forum...not happening. There are some things that just shouldn't be discussed "at the dinner table" and abortion is one of them.

FB is full of that kinda crap... and you have your FRIENDS who know you and your beliefs and can share that kinda junk with... I sitll have friends where I refuse to click on links they post...haha because I KNOW them...
OP of the scary video just posted about gummy vitamins and I replied... becuase I do not ever seem to look and see who is posting stuff...

I am truly hoping that wasn't pointed towards me because I am 100% sure that at NO point in my post did I say that anyone was being "mean", nor did I defend what the OP posted and I openly admitted that I did not get a chance to read the post because it was DD. My statement was merely why everyone felt a need to make a big deal out of this post when I see posts on the tri boards ALL the time where someone is trying to push an agenda...(i.e. moms opposed to epidurals, EBF's calling out those who use formula, etc....)
Also from reading all of the posts I gather that the ACTUAL video wasn't posted within the post so therefore in order to see this video you had to click a link and unless the OP posted the link under false pretenses those of you that saw the video CHOSE to do so by clicking the link.....SO in my opinion it is incredibly silly to read a post, click a link to a video you KNOW is about abortion (or any controversial topic) and then be appalled by what you see and come back to talk about how appalling it was and how the link should have never been posted.
People that post things like that are just like trolls and those who post MUD, they are seeking out attention (whether good or bad) and by giving them what they want it just feeds them to continue doing it. That was all I was saying...I was at NO point trying to be the "nice police"
I didn't see the original post but from your vacuum description, I'm positive I know the video you're talking about. I'm guessing it was "The Silent Scream." You should do a bit more investigating on the video. A lot of medical professionals have discussed that a fetus that age doesn't have controlled movements, and certainly not enough to purposely act the way you saw in the video. They also discuss that the video was edited and sped up and slowed down to be more dramatic. Look into it. And think twice before you post. Wrong place, wrong time.

I do not know why this type of situation was not considered when posting on a site like the bump. This is full of women who have struggled or had complications and all sorts of not ideal situations. =(
