I am 2 weeks pp and feel up to working out - I just wondered if anyone started this early or if you waited until the all clear at the 6 weeks pp check up...
TIA

I worked out my entire pregnancy and saw my doctor at 4 weeks PP. I was walking before then but just started running last week. Will add weights next week.
I have never started working out before the checkup. I have walked and done things like that... maybe moderate use of an exercise bike, but nothing like a real workout. Pg is tough and then all the body and hormone changes that come with the baby's birth... I give my body a 1 month break after all the work it has done!
Fortunate to be a SAHM to my 3 musketeers (5/2006, 5/2010 & 12/2011).
Soy & dairy free for the 3rd and final time.
I started walking 3 miles 4 days after giving birth. I started running again 3 weeks after giving birth (but I had run up to and including the day I was induced). I waited to go to the gym for workouts until my 6 week checkup.
Re: how long did you wait before working out?
I would wait until your post partum checkup, honestly.
You may feel ok, but not be healed yet.
I was told to take it easy for 6 weeks. When in doubt call your doctor, but really take it easy for right now IMHO.
