Nose Bleeds

I've always read that one think that pregnancy can do to you is give you nose bleeds.  I was kind of hoping that wouldn't be me, but last night and this morning every time I blew my nose there is blood in the tissue.  Not gushing, but it's there.  Oh well...another re-assuring sign that everything is okay with my babies :).

    That is one of my least favorite pregnancy symptoms! With DS it was worse in the third trimester. It was so embarrassing to be at work or sitting at dinner and realize you have blood running from your nose!

    I get blood in the tissue a couple times a week but the other day it started gushing down and didn't stop for about 5 minutes and I was out walking the dog! Not fun.

    Same thing happened to me this morning. I woke up congested, and when I blew my nose there was a ton of blood on the tissue. DH freaked out, and I was pretty grossed out.

    I didn't have any nosebleeds during my first pregnancy (almost always blood on the tissue during the winter, not what I consider a nosebleed), but a couple of weeks ago I had a real one. It kind of scared me because it took a while for it to stop.

    I'm getting them all the time now. I partly blame the cold dry Jersey air. Every time I go to blow my nose because it feels congested, it's just a lot of clotted blood. Grossss

    I've had one nosebleed thus far, and a lot of clotted blood or whatnot in the tissue when I blow my nose (which I feel like I always have to do!). I have a feeling I'll get some full on nosebleeds in the coming weeks, but I have to admit it doesn't bother me. I feel really good and pretty much welcome any pregnancy symptom - it's almost reassuring that I am in fact pg, especially given that I haven't felt any movement yet.

    At first I was just seeing blood on the tissue when I blew my nose and eventually it was only blood I was blowing out. The other night I woke up in the middle of the night with blood gushing from my nose! Good thing we have dark sheets! I'm just waiting for it to happen at an inopportune moment like while I'm at work or something...

    For a couple of weeks I was having all out nose bleeds. Ugh. Now I just have bloody boogers every time I blow my nose.

     I mentioned it to my OB and sse said that sometimes it gets so bad in pregnant women that they have to go to an ENT and basically have it burned (don't know they correct term) to get it to stop. Hope mine doesn't get that bad.
