Hi Ladies,
I have pain just on the left side of my lower back (the level of where people get a lower back tattoo). It's been hurting for the better part of the day. I've had a good amount of water today (a little less than usual) and don't think I've strained it. Have you felt it? When would you call your OBGYN?
TIA!
Re: Left lower back pain...is this normal?
I have the same type of cramps going on but on my right side. I'd had my first dr appointment yesterday and I mentioned it to the nurse and she that's normal for a lot of women. She said that if it got intense or really sharp then to call in, it could then be a kidney infection or something baby related.
I've had this all night and this morning, left lower back pain, not unbearable, but uncomfortable and it feels crampy and bloatey, not unlike a period. This is my third and I still get worried by this but everything always seems to be normal and my ob always just smiles at me and says, "every woman coming in here is worried about this pain and this twinge and this cramping, ah." He laughs at me, so I feel better knowing it's normal and I am in the majority!
It helps to lie down on your left side, drink fluids, and relax. Things are stretching and the less tense you are the easier things will flow. Breathing helps me as well, and fresh air. It is cleansing when all that's on your mind 24/7 is baby!
