Let's Share Baby Names!

Hi ladies,

So DH and I found out that we are having a girl on Dec 22 and ever since have been calling her by her name, Ella Elizabeth.

I know not everyone has had their gender scans yet, or is even finding out, but I'd love to hear ideas, or final decisions about names for your little ones!

I *think* we've decided on Maggie Grace. Maggie was my great-grandmother's name, and I'm big on family names. As an aside, a friend's daughter chose Ella for her little sister's name, and I love it.

We just found out this morning that we are also having a girl!

We're planning on bringing a short list to the hospital. But our front runners right now are: Lily, Katherine, and Samantha. The middle name will probably be Elizabeth (my mom's middle name).

We keep changing them, but here is what we are currently liking:

The middle names will stay the same regardless of what we end up choosing. They are mine and DH's middle names.

Who knows what our kid will end up being named. we have changed a few times.

I really like the name Lydia and DH likes Brooke and Leah. We have no middle name ideas yet. We are no where near making a decision. Of course we had a boy name all picked out. I guess we will save it for next time if it's a boy it is Dawson Aaron.

My friend is pregant and she said if it's a boy there is no way in h#ll he is going to be a forth generation edward. I like dallas though.

Ella Elizabeth, How cute!!

Ours is "Timothy Cohen"

DH is named Timothy so we are using that as the first name but will call the baby by his middle name (Cohen)

We are still undecided. We have it narrowed down to 4 names:

Cody Luis, Javier Luis, Zachery Luis, or Vincent Luis.

We are thinking Ellie for a girl (Eleanor would be her formal name). Maybe Ann for a middle name - my mom and grandma's middle name. And if it's a boy, it will be Thomas Joseph after DH's father who passed.

We're team green, so we'll have to wait and see. But so far we've agreed on one name, so that's our current frontrunner. For a girl, Emelia Mae. We have nothing for a boy yet, and will likely go to the birth center with a short list for both boy and girl (we ended up changing our minds very late in the game with both DS and DD).

A girl will be Cecelia Renee. Cecelia is the patron saint of music, and the current first lady in france. DH and I are both musicians, and I'm fluent in french (I also LOVE the country). seems like destiny. haha and Renee is a family name.

A boy will be Elliot Jason. Elliot because I'm a huge SVU fan. Jason is DH's name.

We have an elective scan on Saturday so DH and I haven't really talked about it until we find out. But my favorite girl names are Ella and Addison. For a boy, I'm at a loss. We didn't come up with DS's name until 2 weeks before he was born (Evan James).

For a Girl We like Paisley Sky G-----r,

DH really wanted to pass on his name. His dad is Anthony, but goes by Tony. DH is Anthony James, but goes by T.J. (Tony James).

For a Boy We like John Paul G-----r, but will call him J.P. John is my dad's First Name, Paul is DH's dad's middle name.

We have our boy name chosen: Colt Edward. As for a girl, I am unsure. I like Anna Lynn but don't love it. No matter what if its a girl her middle name will be Lynn. That is mine and my mom's middle name.

However, DH was so cute about it....and I like his name so I couldn't say no....plus the name we both loved, Miles, got ruined by some kid on our son's bball team

as long as baby really is a girl ( we have another a/s on Jan 27th just to be sure since our other one was at 16 weeks) then baby is named MacKenna Elizabeth. We have been calling her MacKenna since they said girl, but if she turns out to be a he when we got back in a couple weeks it'll be Gavin Wyatt.

We're using Farrah Jade for a girl (Jade because both DH and I have "gemstone" first names, Amber and Garnet)

and Atticus Jude or Jude Atticus for a boy, we can't decide whether Atticus is too big of a name for a child, I say yes, DH says no...we go back and forth

Gender scan in two weeks though!!!

I always get a little nervous telling people because Imogen is not a common name in the US (although it's fairly common in England, and is actually an old Shakespearean name), so they usually act kind of confused when they hear it.

Elliott was our boy name! But we won't be able to use that for next baby, because I don't think I'd want an Ella and Elliott.

If its a boy, we have the first name narrowed down to four options:

-Calvin (Cal)

-Landen

-Miles

-Emerick

If its a girl, we've got nothin'! We can't agree on a single name. Sigh. We had Stella and Lila on the list, but DH recently decided he doesn't like either of those names, so we're back at square one. And I just have this feeling that it IS going to be a girl...

We both like Ryne Scott if it is a boy, and we can't agree on girl names. I am in love with 3, Bella, Sophie, and Gemma, Ann would be the middle name for all three. But he doesn't like them. When I ask what he likes, he replies with, I don't know. So we'll see lol

Omg I've always loved the name Imogen! I've loved it every since that movie came out "Down To You" with Julia Stiles and Freddie Prinze Jr. I've always wanted to name my future daughter that but DH shot it down

I feel so behind because although I have names I love, we haven't decided anything.

Boys:

Luke, Leo, Connor MN will probably be Michael (DH's name)

Girls :

Lucy, Evelyn, Lauren with the MN Morgan

However this could all change. I do know that I will have a child with the FN Michael, like DH wants. I am not a fan of it, it was quickly vetoed. He chose the name Leo and I actually love it.

I love Ella Elizabeth (I have an Ellie), and I am so impressed by all of you who have chosen names for both sexes! We haven't narrowed it down at all--DH wants to wait to find out what we are having before we talk about it again because we can't agree on any names and that way we only have to argue about one gender.

MY favorites from our long lists are:

Girls: Evangeline, Camilla, Paige

Boys: Weston, Asher, Emerson

No idea on middle names.

DH hasn't come up with any names so far... but my top names are:

Girl: Amelia Claire

Boy: Benjamin Paul (DH is Paul the 4th... in order to agree on not having "the 5th", we compromised on the middle name)

Our little princess will be named "Avin Margaret". Avin is my mom's maiden name. Both my name Megan and my great-grandmothers name Maggie come from the name Margaret.
