Okay so Ava has started to say "Mamamamama". Would you consider this as her saying mama? I honestly don't remember Nicholas doing it and he didn't call me Mommy til he was 22 months old. So do you think Ava is trying to say "mama" or just making some noises?
I'm not worried about milestones or anything, just wondering.
Re: Question about "mama"
It's just noises at this point. DD says dada, gaga, baba but none of it means anything, she is just making sounds.
She does say dada for bye bye and makes a sound like uh oh but I dont think I would even count them as words yet. They're just inflections.

I didn't count any of Jack's words actual words until he knew what he was saying. His first word was dog, because he pointed to a dog at 9 months and dog. He babbled mamamama, and dadadada, and babababa for a long time, but had no idea what he was saying.
That being said, it's mama! So if you want to count it I say go for it. If you wait her first word might be dada lol!

After 4yrs, 5 IUI's, 2 IVF's, 2 FET's, PGD, and 5 losses our little miracle is finally here!
Ishe looking at you and mean you when she says it? If so, yes. If not, no.
I don't count sounds as words until they have been used twice on two separate occasions and represent the same intent.

I'd count it.
DS1 didn't say Momma for a long time, but it was the first thing DS2 said at 11 mo. It's the only thing he says and we all know he is talking about me so we count it.
