Ferber Checks Question

Those who did CIO, when you checked on your LO, what did you actually do?  Did you pick them up, pat them ???

    We used the Sleep Easy Method not Ferber, but we just use voice for check-ins. No touching at all and in the room 30 seconds or less.

    We used Sleep Easy as well.  Just a, "Mommy/Daddy is here and we love you and it's time to go to sleep," and then we were back out of the room.
