trigger labor I've decided to pass on getting one today. I'm VERY curious as to how far dilated, or if I'm dilated at all. But I'm desperately wanting to put off L&D so I just decided I'm not going to have the dr check me this afternoon at my appt.
It's funny b/c during the whole pregnancy I'd told myself I wouldn't have an internal until 39 weeks and that's when I'd allow myself to get checked, since it probably wouldn't make a difference before that. But I'm so freaked out that the dr would check me today and then send me straight over to L&D that I'm just going to keep my legs crossed!
I feel silly passing on it for this reason but I don't feel very rational about a whole lot these days anyways
Re: Since getting checked for dilation can...
Why would a doctor be angry if you don't allow them to check? Is there a reason that it is medically necessary to do so? I admit I allow them to check out of my own curiosity but don't really know the medical reason they would need to.

Amen!! I know it happens for some women but I am not one of the lucky ones! I was checked from 36-41 weeks with DS and I still had to be induced! Jealous for those who go into labor though!
