Sports Bra Rec

I have ginormous boobs and I need a good sports bra.  I have been doing a Zumba/fitness class at 5:30 in the morning and I always leave frustrated.  I feel like I can't do half the things because when I jump my boobs slap me in the face, and forget running.  Anyone have any good recommendations for somewhere I can go locally to find one?  If not, a place online that has a good return policy?  TIA!

Oh and I am posting and running because I have to go to work.  TIA!

Re: Sports Bra Rec

  • Petticoat fair off Anderson lane.  If you've never been sized by them I highly recommend going. I was wearing a 38DD and turned out I'm a 34F. My shoulders don't hurt anymore and it was like instant weight loss!

    Anyways. I have this one

I can do Zumba in it, run, jump rope, what have you and feel totally secure. And I only have to wear the one bra, no doubling up!

  • My life changed when I started wearing Moving Comfort bras. They only go up to E, though.

I have this same exact bra from PF and I love it.  I cannot rec PF enough.  Like probably everyone else, I, too, was wearing the wrong size bra (36-38D) until I went there (36-38G - um,yeah...quite a difference).

  • I love my Moving Comfort Maia bras. The 2 times I've been to bootcamp since Sparky was born, they really held me in.

  • Another vote for Petticoat Fair, but my fave is the Elomi 8040.  I think it was the only one they had in my ridiculous size (36K'ish) but it's awesome.

That store has seriously changed my life.  If you've never been professionally fitted before don't stress about it like I did, it was no biggie.

These are what I wear. I usually get them on amazon for $30 or so.

This bra is fantastic!  One of the best, for sure.  The other one linked is great, too.  It's all about fit really.  You'll get the most support and bounce control from a bra that fits you really well.  They come in all sizes at PF, so cup size in never an issue.  You should be able to get the support you need for Zumba, running, and anything else.

I'm not trying to over-plug PF, but sports bras really can open you up to a whole new world of working out.  No one should have to experience the painful bounce!

  • Thanks ladies!  I didn't know PF had sports bras too. I guess I will start there!
