Re: Lovenox/Heparin Users

  • I am being monitored by bloodwork.  I am not positive on how often I am tested (seems like I have bw done at every appt) but I want to say I have been tested at the beginning and end of each trimester at least?  Again..not positive.

  • I was tested several times before and during my IVF cycle.  I believe my levels have only been checked once since that time.

  • Hmmm that's what I was afraid of. I have never been tested and I'm wondering how they even know I'm on the right dosage. I'm injecting 25 units of Heparin twice daily. I truly believe that the Heparin is helping me maintain this pregnancy and I'm nervous that I'm not being monitored. Thanks ladies. I'll ask my Dr.

  • My doc does a Heparin Anti-XA level every four weeks on me. The regular thromb panel apparently isn't telling enough regarding the effectiveness of the dose. After my second to last blood draw my level was only 0.25 so I was bumped up to 40mg and now my levels are perfect. GL!!
  • I think my RE got a baseline PTT prior to starting Heparin. But I quickly switched to Lovenox and haven't had any bloodwork for it. I've been on it since 5 weeks or so and have been fine.
