    I took care of DH and DS who both got the stomach flu Saturday night.  Fun!

    Lots of sickies in my house... but it was a good new year because I was with my baby ;-)

    Also, I think it should be a law you shouldnt have to work on your childs 1st birthday. I find it very rude!

    I would have taken the day off, or switched my days, but it being a holiday week they were closed monday. I need friday off to pick up SS and get the rest of the food and stuff.

    Oh well.  Maybe we should just make it a law that part time ppl get paid days off. and their birthday, their spouses and their kids.  and a week btwn xmas and new years.

    I really need to run for office!! haha

    We went to our neighbors house. It was a good time. I drank 3/4 of a bottle of champagne.

    Ahhhh, I agree.  I burned all available vaca over the holiday break though.  My family will be in town and staying home with her on friday baking cupcakes for the party, while my sad self will be at the office.  I tell myself it will be a fun memory for my brother and parents though, so that's nice.

    I never saw the New Year - was fast asleep by 11:45pm. I just couldn't hold out for 15 more minutes. And DH slept on the couch. So I was asleep and alone. Boo. Prior to all this, I was sitting with my Nanny in the hospital after JT went to sleep. 

    I'm happy though that I got to see JT"s smiley face on New Year's Day!

    My new year was okay. I had 2 small sips of beer! Yahoo! Rebel! And I watched my H play Skyrim. It was stellar. I'm surprised I made it to midnight with all that excitement.

    DH had to work night shift on New Year's Eve so I was home alone with the children.  Older DS is too cool to hang out with mom so I just watched cheesy movies on Lifetime until I was too sleepy to stay awake. 

    I agree that you should get your children's birthday's off work  I hated coming back to work today knowing it was his first birthday.
