hahahahahahahaha!!!! Sex?! We bedshare. Sometimes are feet touch under the covers. That is about as close to sex as we get these days!

ETA: But note, I haven't voted. While I can joke about it as a response, I can't actually make myself click 'none' but this is just since we became parents..right? K acutally put "it" in her 'bucket list' on her phone. Which makes me laugh, since she clearly doesn't know what a bucket list *really* means.

Do you all go to sleep at the same time? We bedshared for a few months, and the key is to get creative. Babe down in bed, mamas spending quality time on the couch.

That said, we've been so out of sync lately, and so tired all the time, so I clicked the every other week/few times a month... though its probably closer to once a month. ::sigh::

Not yet a parent but Uggg we werent exactly rattling the walls before but now while TTC it seems like never. Hard to be romantic and spontaneous when those stupid prometrium pills are involved.

Go ahead and flame me but these results seem to justify the lesbian bed-death stereotype. I've seen this same poll on other boards (ie, heterosexual) and there is much more sex being had out there than here. Or at least with the first ten responses it seems that way.

see, i think these results are pretty consistent with my other boards - when specifically polling parents.

and for the record, I voted every other week. but its hard to say because it isnt a consistant thing. we go in high frequency phases (multiple times a week) and dry spells. It definitely shows in our relationship if its been too long!

I don't find that flame-worthy. It's biology to me. I've had plenty of straight friends tell me that they'd have less sex if it was dependent on their urges and not hubby's. I freely admit that it takes work, and sometimes that work isn't first priority. (And I say that as a not-yet-parent who has been with the same woman for 12 years.)

see, i think these results are pretty consistent with my other boards - when specifically polling parents.

The parenting thing does make a difference so you're probably right. I'm recalling polls from the boards that are far less parent-heavy.

Had this question been asked 11 weeks ago, my answer would have been drastically different, even 9 months pregnant. So my one vote of 'never' shouldnt be included in your calculations. And I agree with CT, the results seem standard for any couple, lesbian or otherwise. Nearly all of my friends in relationships over 5 years would choose once a month. I think it has more to do with our economy than what type of relationship.

People think queers are all about sex but in my experience it's my straight friends that share every detail of their sex lives. Or maybe the vocal ones are so vocal that I feel like all my friends are talking about it. lol!

I just set up a poll on another board I am on that has a majority of parents (most with kids older than a year - I think the first year throws thing off with lack of sleep/baby in bed/bfing/etc.) And all straight.

Well- I will add that it is a process sometimes. We cant just roll over ans stick it in her... BUT, ( rry had too) I will add that Melanie believes in this LESBIAN Bed Death...

I might be a lil different because of my minor trans issues before children there just seems that there is so much effort needed - whether it is an accessory or just head trip in that I lack the equipment. I also think I need the Viagra for women I used to be ready to romp around any way and pounce on anything but now YIKES DO they make a pill I would love a pill.. I will say i am very attracted to Melanie and think she is hot stuff but I just dont seem to be that HORNY TOAD any more or even things that used to turn me on sometimes dont ...

like other posters my feeling get in the way .. Now that I lost a ton of weight and really LOOK good and feel good .. I would thing that I would be ready to roar but NOPE... More issued arise. When H was two months, my answer was none too. We are now, at twenty months, really getting back in action. But have had the same problem as the pp who mentioned periods not being in sync! Neither of us feels very sexy on the rag, so there goes two weeks a month. Sucks. Straights don't have that problem!

I am kind of offended by the idea that we have less sex because we are lesbians. I have a verrrry healthy sex drive, thankyouverymuch. I think the different is being parents of young children.

After we had Henry, it took me a LONG time to get back in the groove. That wasn't because I'm in a lesbian relationship, it was because my child ripped me open something terrible on the way out, and it took time to recover from that physically and emotionally. My wife was considerate enough not to pressure me and let me take my time. I am now back to practically humping her leg on the regular, and that dry spell is just a memory.

But still, having a 20 month old who doesn't sleep through he night, and a wife who works 50 hours a week (on a good week), it is a challenge sometimes. Like a pp said - it definitely shows when it's been too long!

We did answer this, but the results are some what skewed. Given a high risk pregnancy, which has included 10+ weeks of bleeding, we're not having sex. If things had been stable from the beginning, I'm certain we would be.
