Super Smelling Powers!

My sense of smell has always been sensitive. But since I've become pregnant, it's gone into overdrive.

And it's not everything, it's certain things that suddenly come to the forefront. For example, a few nights ago DH was in the kitchen mixing himself an eggnog and put a splash of rum in it. I could smell the rum from where I was sitting in the living room.

And just now, I asked him to throw in a frozen pizza for dinner. I'm sitting in the living room (my new favourite place is the couch) and about 5 minutes after it had started cooking, I could distinctly smell green peppers. I asked DH if he put in the deluxe pizza instead of the mushroom only pizza. I was right!  He is impressed by my super smelling powers.

All the changes I've been experiencing have been blowing my mind. It's absolutely incredible what our bodies are capable of.

    I am the same way! Before I even got my BFP things really started smelling off. It was one of my first clues! Nothing has been so bad though that its made me sick...thank goodness!

    This whole super smelling power is horrible since every smell almost is disgusting to me. I work at a restaurant, I literally have to hold my breath when walking near the dish and trash area.

    My husband calls me 'Wolverine' due to my super-smelling powers! 

    I think the cooking of proteins (ground beef, chicken, ground turkey) is the worst!

    Can't handle the smell of tons of garlic or when the dog passes gas.  Must leave the room till the smell clears!

    My husband says of all the super powers I could have gotten, sense of smell is the worst!   

    I can literally SMELL him using the toaster oven..  it smells like metal.  So odd.

    This is my biggest symptom! My husband stained our coffee table 5 days ago and I swear I still smell the stain from across the room - and it is an overwhelming smell! My hubby says he doesn't smell anything..even when he is standing next to the table. Also, he is cookie hamburger patties on the grill tonight but is in the kitchen shaping the raw hamburger... I'm in the opposite room and can smell the raw meat. It smells like....iron... or what I would imagine iron would smell like?
