My cousin gave me her Ameda Purely Yours pump. I have heard it isn't safe to reuse someone else's breastpump, but I al read that the Ameda does not have milk going through the tubes, so if you clean everything, it should be ok?
From the reviews I have read, this is a good pump, and it is free, so I'd prefer not to buy one. But if it is dangerous, I won't use it. Any help is appreciated!

This. I bought the system used with extra accessories for $75. I replaced the valves and actually needed to buy the m/l flanges at BRU. I had 4 standard flanges but got more output from the larger sizes.
It's fine because its a "closed system" pump. Google it for more info.....
I bought an Ameda just because it can be resold. Obviously by new tubing and parts. You can get on Amazon.
Its a great pump!
