Thoughts on Evites for kids party?

I think this has been mentioned before but I wasn't sure what the feeling was on this board. Most kids at DS's daycare have sent out evites instead of actual party invitations. Doesn't really bother me since it's an easy way to rsvp or not. I've given up any cute party deco for DS's party since he wants it at Chuck E. Cheese. Thinking of chucking the cute invites too.

  • i think its totally fine. i just love me some good paper goodies so that's my preference but nothing wrong with an evite! Smile

  • I sent an evite for DS' 1st bday b/c I did not get the paper invites in the mail until this past Friday (slacker, much?)

I think evites are perfectly acceptable. I only send invites to show off the baby cuteness :)

  • I do evites.  I had to do paper for A's last party also (in addition to the evites) but only for her classmates.  I did papaer for 2 reasons- first I did not have all the email address, and I did not want siblings of classmates coming (the evite was for family friends and siblings were welcome!).

People are MUCH more likely to RSVP with evite than paper also!

  • i didn't have the advance planning skills to do paper invites so we did evites. I think paper invites are great but evites are easier for everyone, including for rsvp puposes
  • I invited people to Layna's bday through creating a Facebook event.  Evites would be fine, I just don't have people's email addresses.
