phantom kicks

Did anyone else experience this?  I described it to my husband as feeling like an amputee... you know that that physical part of you isn't there any more but you can still feel it.  It usually happens when I'm laying in bed at night and it rips my heart out every time.  It's like the ultimate cruel joke that my body could play on me.  It's been 3 weeks.  When does this stop?

    I had phantom kicks from Celeste until I could feel Sabrina kicking for real.  I wasn't sure which was which there for a while...so mine probably lasted 5-6 months.  It is the ultimate cruel joke.  I'm so sorry...

    I actually still get them sometimes.My daughter was 11 months old when she passed,so I'm still having them almost 16 months after being pregnant.I do get them less often now though.

    Yup, it's everything moving back into place and can last awhile. I'm still getting them randomly

    I don't quite get the kicks but I still feel like my belly is there every morning and I can't help but do my old roll out of bed and I can't sleep on my stomach, it just feels wrong for some reason.

    I still get them every once in a while and it's been just about 3 months. I don't know when they stop but i hope they do REAL soon! I'm so sorry, it sucks so much! It is a cruel joke, i think worse than the milk coming in.

    I got phantom kicks until this one started kicking regularly.  I got pg again after 9 months, and it was around 16 weeks that I started feeling this baby.  So, it was a long time.  Chances are, it will happen again.  My mom had her last baby 13 years ago, and she says she still gets them sometimes.

    I still have them also.  Not as often, but they are still there.  I tend to think "am I pregnant" then I snap back to reality.  It sucks.  Every bit of it.

    I did, and I swear from time to time I still do. And it's always when I'm lying down in bed. They are definitely hard to deal with. (((HUGS)))

    I still get them too... There have been a few times that it's happened in public and I've grab my stomach happy for a single second and then realize nothing is there and breakdown :( I'm hoping it gets better
