1000 - MD. Too small for my taste, but probably would feel a whole lot bigger if we would just get rid of things we haven't touched in years. seriously who needs plates/bowls specific for fondue/pasta/crabs....
BUT 1) I think that number is inflated, and 2) there is a crap load, I mean CRAP LOAD of wasted space in my house so even though it sounds impressive, it's not at all.
our land records say 915 sf, but I think that is only the "above ground" portion. Our lower level/basement is only partially underground, because our TH is built on a hill. I think we are closer to 1100 sf, including the finished basement/rec room area.
It is a 2 BR/2 BA TH in Reston, VA (20 miles from DC and a couple miles to Dulles Airport)
I have pretty much been cursing this house this whole year because it is too dang small My DH likes to store stuff in front of our washer and dryer and in other places that I need to get to fairly regularly. I cannot WAIT to leave this area - but we aren't selling until DH finishes his degree. May 2010 - ACK!!
1,300 sq ft (Michigan). We have 3 bedrooms, 1 1/2 bath, living, dining, familyroom (so all the rooms are small). Kitchen is good size (room for a table or island...we have an island). We do have a full basement (1,300 sq. feet...unfinshed). Guess that is our "walk-in closet"!!!! LOL
Indiana- We have 1200 sq. ft of finished living space upstairs. We also have a full 1200 sq. ft. basement- about half of that is finished off for MIL, the other half is totally unfinished (but it certainly makes for excellent storage!)
The house we own and can't sell is around 1600. It's in Michigan.
The house we live in (we're renting) is probably 1000-1200. It's in L.A. Thank goodness we have a garage for storing all the stuff that won't fit in the house.
