What did everyone do to ring in the New Year?

We had a spontaneous dinner party. The food was great, the company was so-so. Let's say was in bed reading by 12:30 (and most of our guests slept over). Menu:

Baked Brie

pan seared squid on micro greens with maple drizzle

Whole lobster with lemon butter, mini deconstructed beef wellingtons, crab mac&cheese, salad

flourless chocolate cake with custard

Good thing I like cooking because I found out I was serving for a whole party at 1:00a.m. on Friday while I drove my drunk DH's a$$ home from a UFC party.

Hey DW, happy Monday to you too. We just had my sister and her family over and my sister in law and her family over. It was really nice and despite the number of people, really calm. Lol. I think we want to do that as a tradition. Lol. And then yesterday we went to The Sands casino in PA,which was fun too. What about you

Ours was low key -- Friday night we went to the sabres/caps game - DH, BIL and I. We met up with a few old friends from Buffalo who are now in town which was awesome. I was DD but I still had fun. BIL was pretty trashed and talking to his ex girlfriend who he is still hooked on. She was there too. It was comical.

Then myMIL and GMIL were down so we had a traditional Russian New Years celebration. DH and BIL put a hurting on the 2 liters of vodka we had. We had prime rib roast, lobster, olivya, and oyster stew. It was really good. I was passed out early. Everyone was tired. DH, BIL and GMIL stayed up. It was very uneventful. maybe because I am usually the life of the party. LOL.

The weather has been gorgeous so we went to the beach to walk around on Saturday as well.

. Sorry you had a noisy house. We had five kids and it was so calm. We didn't expect it to be. We bought food so we didn't have to cook and it just made it so nice, you know?

I'm not working today. I'm so happy. Just relaxing...or trying to if I didn't have these massive cramps.

yeah it was nice.

BILs apt is near the beach -- its not too far from our house. I mean it was still 60, not shorts weather or anything but it was nice.

Happy Monday!!

We had a very very low key NYE. Had dinner at a fancy restaurant that we try to go to once or twice a year, I love it and we ate there the night we got engaged. We were too broke this year and excited when some friends invited us to use up gift certificates.

Home by 10. Did the 11pm new years with Ryan Seacrest and we were both passed out by the Chicago midnight!!

New Years day was even lazier, all we did was eat and nap !!
