Baby's "routine" affecting supply?
So DD had been eating every 2 to 3hours for sometime. We recently went on a trip and DD routine changed a bit. She started eating less frequently (like every 4-6hrs). Before if she didn't nurse by 4hrs I was painfully engorged. Now...I can go for probaby 6 hours and be full, but not hurting. I'm worried that my suppy is going down because of her irregularity with nusing. I know pumping can help, but I'm worried that if I pump and then she wants to eat right after (since she is now very unpredictable with when she wants to eat), that I won't have enough for her. Any advice you can offer is appreciated.
Also, she is very restless, at times (not always), when nursing....are the two things related?

It seems like she isn't nursing much if she goes 6 hours! Does she nurse at least 6 times a day? The other indicator that she is getting enough is diapers.. t least 5 soggy wet diapers and most babies poop 3-4 times day or 1-2 times a week (as long as it is soft and profuse this is normal) Steady growth and meeting milestones is a great indicator.
You can pump because your breasts are never really empty, the milk flow just slows. It would be fine if she wanted to nurse right after.. you would have milk for her.

babies also reach a point when they become more efficient eaters.
the more aware they are, the more distracted they can be and therefore may not notice that they're hungry as soon.
and it's totally normal to stop feeling engorged - it means your supply is regulating. (I often don't feel full any more, but I'm still producing more than enough for DS)
