I know I'm an excessive worrier, so I could really use someone to give me a kick in the pants right now...
My dr told me that I could continue getting manicures during my pregnancy, so before the holidays I got a shellac manicure, like I usually do.
Now, a couple of weeks later, I wanted to try taking the polish off without going back to the salon, so I tried soaking my fingertips in remover, as well as holding cotton balls soaked with remover on my nails for a few minutes. I did this partly in the bathroom (with the fan on) and partly in my bedroom.
The whole process was long and tedious, and prob took the better part of 45 minutes (off and on). After doing one hand, I actually decided to take a break and run out to the grocery store, and since I was there anyway I picked up an acetone-free polish remover, which I used on my other hand.
Anyway, I know nail polish is supposed to be relatively safe while pregnant, but i'm just concerned because I had to use so much of it over an extended period of time. Can anyone set my mind at ease about this?

You will always be loved & missed our sweet angel.
You'll be fine.
I super glued my fingers together last week and needed to use acetone to remove the glue.

My IF blog
Women employed in nail salons work throughout most of their pregnancies exposed to nail polish and polish remover every day and have perfectly healthy babies.
I know it's hard, but try not to worry so much about every little thing.
It is actually easy, you just have to buff off the top coat then soak.
