My LO is nearly one, and we still have our exersaucer out. He is only in it for about 30 min. total a day (when I'm getting stuff done and need him to be immobile!), so I'm wondering if we should just pull the trigger and take it to storage. Are any of you still using yours and getting good use out of it?
Re: Any one year olds using the exersaucer still?
Mine stopped using the exersaucer and jumperoo around 9 months....boohoo
If she was still interested I would def let her use them for awhile
I didnt know there was a maximum weight! Duh--I better check that out.
DD still goes in there when I take a shower and DH isn't home. She's only in there for about 10 minutes and she still kinda likes it.
ETA--I just checked and the weight limit is 25lbs for ours and DD was 28 lbs at her 15 month check up. OOOPS. Mommy fail.

Once LO could crawl, he had no interest in the jumperoo, so it went downstairs.
instead I put up the pack and play and used it as "baby jail" if I need to confine him for a few minutes to go and throw a load of laundry in or something.

DS hasn't been in one since at least 9 months. He didn't crawl until 10.5 so I took it away to encourage him to move more. Plus, he didn't really LOVE being in them anyway. He does like to pull up and play with them though. Now he's 13.5 months and not walking so maybe I should just quit picking him up.
Once a LO can stand flat footed on the tallest setting, you are not supposed to use it anymore. It causes hip problems. Both of my LO's were able to stand flat footed in theirs a few months before they turned one, so that is when we retired the exersaucers.
We stopped using it around 7-8 months. My daughter started crawling and standing up around 6 months and would try and climb out of the exersaucer, so it turned into a walk around toy that she could play with. Then she didn't like the jumperoo. She'd jump in it for about a minute, then would want out to crawl around
It was great while it lasted though. This is also the kid who hated her bouncer and her swing. I wish I would have known that before we spent all the money on them! Oh well. Hopefully the next kid will get more use out of them!
