What's your New Years Resolution(s)?

I'd like to try to lose 2 lbs a month.  If I can do that, I will be back at my fighting weight this time next year.  I also think if I can't cut out or burn 250 calories a day (which is what it would take to do that) I should be ashamed of myself.  I would also like to cut back frivolous spending and do a better job keeping up with housework (thinking of doing a 15 minute routine before I turn in every night where I tackle one or two things).

  • Good luck with those!! The news said today to make realistic and attainable ones so you don't set yourself up...that's why I don't make any...cause I'm a lazy loser!! LOL

  • Like you, I should get in better shape. I could stand to lose 20-30.

    Its been bugging me lately how I dont ever try to look nice any more. I wear the same old stuff all the time. My hair is in a pony tail, even for work, and I wear the min amount of make up. I just feel/look dowdy. I used to accessorize, wear cute shoes, etc.. I never bother anymore. I think getting healthy and just plain trying will do wonders for me.

    I also agree on the house work. It gets so out of control I can't keep up!

  • I would like to be less lazy. I also want to get back to couponing full time. I've been slacking since we moved and it's not ok with me that we're overpaying for groceries.

  • Mine is to not gain as much with this pregnancy.  There's a park at the new complex DH is looking to get us an apartment at and I think taking E there a few times a week will help me get out and walk more.  We're also putting E in day care part time for a few reasons when we move and during that time I want to go to the gym since I'll have access to multiple free ones.  I also just want to make it through the year with my sanity.  Between chasing after E who will be walking/running soon, being pregnant/having a baby while chasing E, DH deploying, and all while being 7 hours away from family, this will probably be the toughest year yet.

  • I am going to try to get into shape. I have a lot of weight to loose. A lot. I started my biggest looser workout last night. It kicked my @$$.

  • I am going to continue to work on my weight loss and get into better shape.  Also, I am going to try to cut back on spending.

  • I'm resolving to do/have done at least 3 major projects around the house.  Last year we did the roof, so I counted that as 3, lol.  This year I'm gunning for a small kitchen overhaul... I think the WHIIITE will be far more tolerable if we get new flooring at the minimum, maybe also new counters.

    I'd resolve to do more gardening & food growing but stuff is super up in the air with this summer so I'm not sure that's a good idea.

    I also need to get back on track with Flylady stuff.  Doing her cruise through the holidays would've saved me SO much agita this year, in addition to the sad state of the laundry, the living room, etccc

  • I don't usually make them. Maybe to be nicer to my H. Lol!! That is somewhat realistic and attainable?! And yes, I need to lose weight, eat healthier, clean more, spend less and all of that... But who am I kidding ?
