anyone else's LO hate diaper changes?

You would think we were putting LO through seven levels of torture whenever we change a diaper - even if it's a quick one! Good grief! For a couple of days he would take his soothie but he's on to us now, and just gets more mad when we try to offer it. I'm hoping it gets better once his circumcision is healed.

DD hated having her diaper changed at that age, too. Now she could care less. Hopefully the same will happen for your LO!

It does get better! My LO did too and would cry bloody murder every single time. He did this probably until he was about 3 - 4 weeks. Now he hardly make a peep when we change him! One trick that helped with the crying was turning on some soothing music or the sound machine while we were doing changes. Also, make sure the room is warm enough.

LOL!!!!!! Both my daughters LOVE having their diapers changed!! Both their first smiles/giggles were on the change table and we are garanteed grins when we put them in there!! Smile

We have a wipe warmer and that makes a world of difference. She will scream if she's hungry and we're changing her, but it has nothing to do with the actual diaper change. She is usually super content on the changing table.

Its cold and people are messing with your parts lol. You'd scream too haha.

DD screamed like she was being skinned alive at that age. Now she just lays there making cooing noises and smiling while I sing to her. I know 8-9 weeks feels like an age, but eventually your baby won't mind the diaper changes as much. Keep on trucking, mama!

It's been getting better. Now the crying usually comes when it's time to eat too but we usually change her first so she gets frustrated that we're delaying food

This! Trey falls asleep pretty much immediately after he finishes eating, so the last thing I want to do is wake him up with a diaper change...

It depends on the time of day and if she's hungry. If she's in a bad mood she'll start fussing as soon as we place her on the changing table and try to squirm away, like she knows exactly what's coming, and then will start screaming like the world is coming to an end when we start undoing her clothes.
