Was not fun! I gained 9 lbs in the past 4 weeks! But since I have only gained a total of 18 lbs so far this pg, he wasn't too worried. Anyone else go a little overboard this holiday?
My doctor said everyone gains weight at the holidays and its overall throughout the entire pregnancy what you gain that matters. Idk made me feel better!
I have to go on Tuesday--and I'm a bit frightened by how much I must have gained over the past two weeks. But I gave myself a "holiday pass"; I've been very good so far, so if I wind up a few pounds over from the holidays, it will be okay.
Plus, supposedly in the third trimester the fetus can distinguish certain tastes--so it was important for me to try everything. . .My husband keeps insisting on that, and I'm going with it.
No gain for me over the last two weeks. Doc was impressed. Then again I've gained about 35 since the start of this pregnancy so me not gaining over a two week span is probably a good thing.

We're hosting a pretty big holiday dinner on New Year's Eve/brunch and dinner on New Year's day, and I have an appointment on Wed. Sigh. I'm also doing the GTT that day, and I was planning to eat a lot But yeah, not looking forward to that appointment!
haha Yep, I must have over did it. I was told :"no more desserts" I didn't get lectured about my weight, it was more of a friendly tip. I agreed. It was the holidays though so I regret nothing
My next appointment is Monday and I'm terrified. :x Tuesday I seriously ate nearly a whole bag worth of assorted chocolates (HEY- it was on SALE- $1.50 for a bag normally worth $4-5 is awesome...) and I have not been restricting my sweets intake... just had a IDon'tGiveAFvck week with food. Plus I have to work Monday and my uniform adds literally 10 lbs (which the lady NEVER subtracts after I tell her this), so they're going to think I'm gaining like a sumo. My scale at home needs new batteries and I keep forgetting to buy more!

I gained 7lbs over the Thanksgiving holiday 4 weeks!. I to have only gained 17lbs total so overall I am fine, but got a little lecture about watching my cookies over Christmas.
I hadn't been gaining much and when I stepped on the scale I was shocked! He said not to worry it was the holidays and if the baby is hungry then eat. Do not starve yourself. I am cutting back on the sweets now that the holidays are over so back to fruit for me!

My next appt is not until the 12th, which is actually about a week later than it should be but it was the first day that DH and I were both free that they had an opening. I'm thrilled about this because I'm hoping most of the cookie weight will be gone by then lol! I've been avoiding the scale at home this week.. now that most of the holiday leftovers are gone, I have to get back to healthy food!
We go together like a wink and a smile. June 27, 2009
Got weighed today..up 8 pounds too (in 4 weeks)..I texted my DH and told him all those delish XMas goodies totally screwed me over....It was worth it though! I'll just rev up the walking activity for the next few months to try and slow this weight gain down a bit.
