How to incline bassinet for refluxy LO?

I have a doctors appt today for DS, I am certain he has acid reflux and my MIL who is a triage nurse for my pedi agrees.  She told me to keep him upright as much as possible but I am not sure how to do this in the bassinet.   I put a towel under the mattress but when I lay him in it that way it makes him slouch and looks uncomfortable.  Any suggestions?  I do not want a RNP because I read way too many bad things on the amazon reviews about not enough padding, flat spots and neck problems.  TIA!

Re: How to incline bassinet for refluxy LO?

  • Try a smaller blanket folded under the top of the mattress instead. That is what I have done and it inclines the mattress just enough without LO being able to slide down it.

  • I put folded towels under the feet on one end of the bassinet.

  • We have a RNP and I put a soft blanket in it and my little guy sleeps great in it, he has reflux too and was a premie, so he was super tiny when he first came home and slept in it. I think there is plenty of padding in there...
