recommend your apps for ipad

I'm looking for apps for myself and for Jack. So far I have the kindle app, peek a boo barn, and Leapfrog Scout.

Also is there anyway to lock the screen from moving around. Jack is getting very frustrated with the fact that he loses a game when he slides his finger and the whole screen slides bringing up a new game.

I'm new to this and haven't really had time to play around with it and figure the whole thing out.

    I love Pandora for music.

    Cozi family calendar is awesome I love it.

    Pinterest is so fun.

    I like kid mode for DD it has age appropriate YouTube videos.

    Also there are some free sesame street videos on iTunes.

    if you go under Settings > General > Use Side Switch to > Lock rotation and then switch the top right button it will lock your screen either horizontally or vertically.

    I second Monkey Preschool Lunchbox.  And also:

    -Angry Birds

    -Google (ask any question and get an answer!  I asked where to find wonton wrappers in the grocery store and got a good start!)

    -Netflix

    -Kindle

    -Shapes (it's a very simple game, but Miles loves it and has for a long time)

    -Pandora

    monkey lunch box is great - my twins LOVE it.

    we have a monster memory game that the twins are into lately, too.

    Bugs & Bottons is great for little boys... it's a little older (my 4.5yo loves it) but the twins still play it and love it, too - they just don't get some of the parts of it.

     

    I used to be Goldie_locks_5 but the new nest is so screwed up that I was forced to start over.

    monkey lunch box is great, also G loves Tozzle, and Paint (I think that is what it is called)

    I can't speak for apps for grown ups as we never get to use the ipad ; )

    Apps I use:

    Dropbox, Epicurious, Facebook, Kindle, Word with Friends

    Plus, if you subscribe to any magazines, many will let you get it digitally on the iPad, like Martha Stewart Living

    Apps Gabrielle uses:

    Elmo Loves ABCs, Pocket Pond, Vito Panda and TalkingCarl, PBS Kids Video, and a bunch of apps by Duck Duck Moose like Fish School, Park Math, Itsy Bitsy Spider, Wheels on the Bus, Old MacDonald
