ok spelling error noted. But seriously you can't tell me thats as stupid as this woman who has had a child and does not know where her own cervix is or what it looks like or feels like or anything?
What does having a baby have to do with knowing how to check your cervix? She may have never charted before and probably wasn't checking her cervix herself while she was pregnant.
And that wasn't a spelling error that was a srong word error.
SOOOO, how exactly do I go about finding this thing? Not quite sure how all that works...
Basically... you take a digit or two... stick them in your hoo-ha. There is a nubby like thing at the back of your vajay-jay. It is circular with a hole in the center. It can be open or closed... and it can be soft or firm. If you are not able to find it at all.. it is high. Depends on where in the cycle you are...

You never CEASE to amaze me with your stupidity. Google the word and I'm sure you'll learn how to spell it.
And in case you missed rr's PSA, just because someone has a child doesn't mean (AT ALL) that they know how their body works. Just watch the eleventy billion MTV shows that prove this.
Yes I saw that post but she is asking where her cervix is not how is works. Even before I was ttc I knew where it was. She has had a child don't you think they told her the baby came out of the cervix and how it opens slowly? or do you just believe they just "caught" it. To ask where it is just seems like a silly question.

AND my first child was not planned, and I was freakin 18 when I got KU the first time so i would DOUBT that ANY teenager is TRYING to know where the F*ck her cervix is, not one that isn't PLANNING to have a child for sure... get off my thread.

I guess I am an idiot too.. because I had NO CLUE where my cervix was til I read TTOYF. I knew it was "somewhere up there" but had no clue how to locate it or what it was supposed to feel like.

If it's high (like right before ovulation) sometimes you won't be able to reach it.
So basically high is good. thanks
I had a hard time finding it at first thanks to my stubby fingers. If you bear down a little, it makes it easier to feel it if it is high or medium. It may not be right in the middle. It may be off to one of the sides. Once you feel it, it gets much easier. Good luck!

I was under the impression we could freely ask our questions here about TTC. The more I read the more I see a lot of these ladies know way more then me, however it is sad that asking questions that you are unsure of are considered dumb or stupid. Before TTC do you really need to "find" your cervix internally?? I never have and until recently wouldn't have been able to tell anyone how to note and feel for it's position. I honestly feel like this is a very valid question. Some of us are very new to this and have a million questions, I just wish this board was more helpfully and less rude.

This was mild. If you can't handle the snark on this thread, you probably won't last long. Although, the board is a lot less snarky than when I first started.
If you stick around long enough, you'll see why/when snark shows it's face.

This is a question that has been asked on here many times before and I've never thought someone is stupid for asking it. Most women don't check out how their cervix feels or where it's positioned before TTC, and even then, many women still don't. You just seem to have it out for everyone on here today and your comment was completely uncalled for. Where do you get off calling someone stupid when you used the completely wrong word in your response?
OP, I hope the info that some ladies gave will be helpful and you'll be able to find it. Good luck.

Amen sister.
Now...back to the OP... your question is absolutely valid and I too, hope that you have found some useful information in this thread to help you out/give you some insight. Checking CP takes time to get used to..and it may take a while to gauge the subtle differences form day to day - but after a few cycles, you'll get the hang of it... GL!
To the idiot who likes to point the 'stupid-go-google-finger'... Perhaps you should spend more time reading and understanding someone's question before you hop up on your high horse and start handing out biitch-slap cards. As PP's have stated, she wasn't asking for the anatomical location of her cervix... she was inquiring about how to gauge it's position.

I can handle it I'm just thinking I'm missing the point of being so snarky, I suppose if I stick around long enough I'll understand it better.
Just my natural instinct to defend people, didn't mean to annoy those snarky people with saying the same thing twice in a row. I will just try to ignore it when it's not directed towards me.

I guess I don't understand your need to defend people on the internet. Its snarky because people don't get it. Why post a question that has already been answered 3 post down or the page before.
