What does having a baby have to do with knowing how to check your cervix? She may have never charted before and probably wasn't checking her cervix herself while she was pregnant.

And that wasn't a spelling error that was a srong word error.

Basically... you take a digit or two... stick them in your hoo-ha. There is a nubby like thing at the back of your vajay-jay. It is circular with a hole in the center. It can be open or closed... and it can be soft or firm. If you are not able to find it at all.. it is high. Depends on where in the cycle you are...

Yes I saw that post but she is asking where her cervix is not how is works. Even before I was ttc I knew where it was. She has had a child don't you think they told her the baby came out of the cervix and how it opens slowly? or do you just believe they just "caught" it. To ask where it is just seems like a silly question.

AND my first child was not planned, and I was freakin 18 when I got KU the first time so i would DOUBT that ANY teenager is TRYING to know where the F*ck her cervix is, not one that isn't PLANNING to have a child for sure... get off my thread.

She's talking about the position of her cervix (high or low) and whether it is soft or firm. She isn't asking if her cervix is in her throat or anything....You're dumb.

I guess I am an idiot too.. because I had NO CLUE where my cervix was til I read TTOYF. I knew it was "somewhere up there" but had no clue how to locate it or what it was supposed to feel like.

I had a hard time finding it at first thanks to my stubby fingers. If you bear down a little, it makes it easier to feel it if it is high or medium. It may not be right in the middle. It may be off to one of the sides. Once you feel it, it gets much easier. Good luck!

I was under the impression we could freely ask our questions here about TTC. The more I read the more I see a lot of these ladies know way more then me, however it is sad that asking questions that you are unsure of are considered dumb or stupid. Before TTC do you really need to "find" your cervix internally?? I never have and until recently wouldn't have been able to tell anyone how to note and feel for it's position. I honestly feel like this is a very valid question. Some of us are very new to this and have a million questions, I just wish this board was more helpfully and less rude.

This is a question that has been asked on here many times before and I've never thought someone is stupid for asking it. Most women don't check out how their cervix feels or where it's positioned before TTC, and even then, many women still don't. You just seem to have it out for everyone on here today and your comment was completely uncalled for. Where do you get off calling someone stupid when you used the completely wrong word in your response?

Checking CP takes time to get used to..and it may take a while to gauge the subtle differences form day to day - but after a few cycles, you'll get the hang of it... GL!

TTGP is an introductory TTC board. The CD1, where's my cervix and OPK questions will never.go.away. If they bother you, perhaps it's time to find a more specialized forum.
