This is what a girl at work actually told me. I kid you not. It's just another gem in a series of thoughtful insights. She must ask me everyday if he's crawling. No beotch. He still lays on his tummy for a few seconds and rolls onto his back. He's perfectly content to just grab his toes and smile at me. And no, he isn't "scooting" or whatever it's called it yet. He wiggles but that's it. Pedi says he's big and sometimes big kids take a bit longer. I don't tell her this, I just smile and say no. I ask for none of these comments mind you. The other day she was going on and on about her DC's eating schedule with some other girls and looked over at me and said "your little guy's still not liking solids?" with this pitiful look. Why is it always a competition with some people? I try to avoid her entirely at work but she always seems to find a reason to come by my desk and torture me. It was all I could do to resist the urge to throw my stapler at her big head...
Re: "your baby is waaaay behind"
Your coworker sounds like a real winner. I would have a hard time being polite.
And your sig is very cute!
LOL! Some people are so stupid! My Pedi also said big babies have a harder time doing things "on time". DD was 9 1/2 months before she crawled. My nephew crawled at 12 months. So you need to tell this woman that all kids are different and to STOP comparing her child to yours! (I know I couldn't say it to her either!)
Ugh. Sorry you are dealing with this. I just got off the phone from my SIL who does the same thing!! It's crazy to have to explain to her every single time we talk that DS isn't doing things normal kids would do because, uhhhh, he has had a freaking stroke from his BRAIN TUMOR! She never gets how rude it is to continue to try to make me feel bad for things I have no control over.
Baby #3 due September 12, 2014!
~after 34 cycles we finally got our 2nd little bundle of joy~

Your son and my daughter can start a "Down with Solids!" club. She refuses them, too.

LOOKS GOOD!
That is awful that your SIL continues to compare your child when she knows what he has been through and what he is currently going through. =(
