Angelcare monitor-how to use w/o sensor pad?

Hi-

We have the Angelcare monitor...except our DD won't sleep in her crib.  :)

I have been co-sleeping for the past 12 weeks and am trying to transition her to the RnP (and then hopefully her crib).  I need a monitor and don't want to buy another one.  Is there a way to use the Angelcare monitor as a sound monitor only until she sleeps in her crib?

    Yes.  There is a switch on the back to change it to sound only.

    In addition to what pp said, I think that on the handheld unit there is a way to scroll through the different modes and have it just react to sound, not movement.

    Yes on the handheld unit you can scroll through. There are three icons, the lines with the dot at bottom (if lit will hear a tic at each movement) the face ( this is the sound) and the three wavy lines( if lit this is detecting movement. This is what you want off ).

    Thanks!  My unit does not have the switch option.  I had to do it on the handheld unit.
