Angelcare monitor-how to use w/o sensor pad?

Hi-

We have the Angelcare monitor...except our DD won't sleep in her crib.  :)

I have been co-sleeping for the past 12 weeks and am trying to transition her to the RnP (and then hopefully her crib).  I need a monitor and don't want to buy another one.  Is there a way to use the Angelcare monitor as a sound monitor only until she sleeps in her crib?

TIA

  • Yes.  There is a switch on the back to change it to sound only.

  • In addition to what pp said, I think that on the handheld unit there is a way to scroll through the different modes and have it just react to sound, not movement.

  • Yes on the handheld unit you can scroll through. There are three icons, the lines with the dot at bottom (if lit will hear a tic at each movement) the face ( this is the sound) and the three wavy lines( if lit this is detecting movement. This is what you want off ).

  • Thanks!  My unit does not have the switch option.  I had to do it on the handheld unit.
