17 weeks & bleeding???? TMI...

Has anybody experienced any light pink bleeding and the baby still ok? The bleeding started last night and I called my Dr. She told me to just relax, don't stress out about it unless the bleeding is heavier or I experience cramping and then call her back. I haven't had any cramping. My husband suggest's it's because of me having a yeast infection lately. He thinks maybe that's why I'm bleeding, but he's not a Dr. The Dr said to call first thing in the morning to schedule an ultra sound...but I am scared out of my mind because this is exactly what happened the last time I had a  miscarriage at 10 weeks...any words of wisdom?

  • I just had some spotting on Monday.  It was only a little and a dark pink color.  I called my doctor and they advised me to start pelvic rest again and call them if it came back.  I was going back and forth about asking for an u/s but decided not to because it never came back.  (If it happens again though, even the slightest bit, I'm going in.)

I would say to take it easy and rest and drink water as much as you can.  If it continues, I would ask to be seen so they can make sure everything is still fine.  Good luck, I'm praying for you!

  • Update:

Went to the Dr and the baby is fine he/she was moving around in there and had his/her foot up against the wall of my cervix and was annoying the u/s tech. lol. Apparently I have placenta previa and that could be the cause of the bleeding but the Dr suggested that the real cause was slight separation of the placenta from the wall but he said it'll heel itself. The most important part is that baby and I are fine :D
