Can you put shoes in the washing machine?

I bought DD a pair of Stride Rites on eBay and just wondered if they would be ok to throw in the washing machine and let air dry??  Will it ruin them or wear on them a lot?

    Yes, you can put them in the washing machine.  If you do want to put them in the dryer, put them in with some towels to help deafen the noise.
