6 days... I was put in the hospital under quarantine with meningitis... It was probably the worst 6 days of my life... especially since it was the first time I was away from him!

3 days. I would like to do it again soon. Last time, he was 6 months old and I had to pump every three hours so I dragged my pump everywhere you can think of in Chicago. Now that I am close to weaning I think I would be able to cut loose and have even more fun.
I went to a conference for work when DD was 4 months old. I was gone for 48 hours and she was alone with DH. I think he's scarred for life. Aside from that, just during the day at DC.
2 days for DS. We went on an overnight trip to a friend's wedding and came back the next afternoon. It was fun, but weird. I haven't been away from DD yet at all, but that's not surprising since she's only 5wks.

Maybe 8-9 hours? She went with her grandparents to visit her uncle on a day trip a few months ago. I would really like an overnight but we have no one that's comfortable watching her overnight.
two weeks. From the time he was 5 weeks old until he was 7 weeks old. I didn't get to see him once. I was in the hospital with liver failure and they didn't allow newborns on the floor for obvious reasons. I even had a social worker come down and talk to me about post partem because I missed him so much. I cried pretty much the whole time. He was still so new and I felt like I was missing out on so much.
24 hours. My BIL got married and mom took DD overnight.
I keep hinting that I'm itching to go to Europe again soon, and I'd love for my mom to take her for a long weekend, but my mom works and I think DD is still too young for my mom to want to have her for that long. I know she'll do another overnight, but I wanna travel faaaaaar.
3 nights and we're gearing up for 7 nights to Jamaica in Feb. While I'll miss him I know it's best for everyone to get a little relaxation time and "alone' time. I feel like the more time he spends with his grandparents the better -we both spent a lot of time with our grandparents growing up and those are memories that we relish and we're hoping he will have the same.

Overnight when DD#2 was born. DH has been laid off on and off for the last 3 years so vacation hasn't been a priority...we dream about our childfree vacation though.
6 hours total - he was 2 months old, hubby and I went to universal studios for their Halloween thing. It was such a bust, we missed him and we decided, at that point, if someone was going to watch him, we'd rather be sleeping haha. I can't imagine leaving him overnight even though we are close with my parents and they are in the same neighborhood. Now it's like an hour here or there.
Overnight, just last night! Flew to MN yesterday morning and just got back a few hours ago. I missed her like crazy but it was nice to get away w/ the hubby. I could go for a couple more nights, but a week I'm not sure of just yet.
I can't wait to do it again. I am going to NH with my girlfriends for a weekend in January and am booking a trip to Florida with my sister in March. Mama needs her get-a-ways!
Four days to visit my sister on vacation and several three day trips for work. I miss them, obviously, but I can't imagine spending every single night for the last 18 months with them. Nights away are good for EVERYONE.

Maybe 10 hours max... we live 1500+ miles from our family, and don't have anyone we're comfortable enough to leave him with overnight. In April I have to go to a conference for work, that will be 3 days long. I'm kind of dreading it...on the bright side, as pregnant as I'll be then, I might get out of it!

3 nights, 4 days - went to Miami for a wedding. DS stayed with my in-laws. We enjoyed ourselves, but I did miss him and looked forward to getting back!
As of right now, I have only left her for my work day which is about 12 hours four times a week. However on June 22, DH and I are leaving for 10 days to Europe. DD will be with my parents, who are amazing. I am nervous but excited to have alone time with DH again before ttc #2!
I've never been away from DD overnight as of yet. My parents have watched her for the day if I've gone out, but that's about it. Not that I won't leave her overnight with them, we've just had no reason to, but we have a reason now...yippee! DH got me a gift certificate to a B&B that I love a few hours away from where we live and will be going there in February for our 4th wedding anniversary...I am sooo looking forward to that, but I know I am going to miss her like crazy...even if it is just 1 night. My mom, sis and niece went out for the day yesterday and DD was home with DH...I couldn't wait to get home, I missed her so much.
Overnight twice. DH was home with the boys, I was at a bachelorette party. The next time was a girls night that involved some drinking. We have never let the boys stay over anywhere. That will likely change in the next few months. DH and I are talking about getting away for a weekend just so we can sleep-in before this baby is born!

5 days. However, it was under unfortunate circumstances--I was hospitalized for blood clots in the lungs just a few days after giving birth to DS.
