tell me about your Jeep Wrangler

DH really wants a 4 door Wrangler.  If you or your DH has one, how well does it work for you as far as toting baby stuff?  We'll have a rear-facing Roundabout and Graco stroller (travel system size).  What about luggage?  Can you fit much back there?

TIA

  • Cant tell you much about a 4 door but DH has a two door and you cant fit a damn thing back there! Its not small child friendly at all. Its also difficult with it being high up off the ground but DH has a lift on his as well.

  • I had one in HS and college and I have a friend who still has one and she has two kiddos.  It would be fine for your baby, space wise, for your carseat and the stroller would be completely take up the back.  It is doable but, don't count on a lot of extra space after you get everything in there.

  • BTW, mine was a four door.  I agree with pp that a two door is a no go with a baby.

  • DH has a 2 door from college.  There are too many parts that stick out and I hit every one of them by myself getting in and out of the car, that and its so small inside...I can only hope the 4 door is larger.  My suggestion is take the baby with you to the car dealership and put the carseat or something the carseat size in the car to get a feel for how it will work for your family.

I am SERIOUSLY considering sending him down there... I just hope that he doesn't actually come back with a new car ;)  There just doesn't seem to be any other way for him to realize that this is not the best purchase for us right now.  But then again, who knows, maybe the 4door will work for us.  thanks for your help, ladies!
