My Hadley is such a sleepy head, always has been. Anyways, in the morning when she wakes up, usually about 5:30 she will lay in her crib rolling and tossing happily for an hour. I feel like a good mama would go in there and get her up, but she's totally happy and normally squeals etc. And lots of times she will fall back asleep around 6:30 and sleep closer to 7:00 or so. Think that's too long to leave her happy?
Re: How long do you leave your baby in crib happy?
That's what I've been thinking, she's 100% happy when she is awake, looking at her mobile etc. Just wondering...
I agree. The boys' room is right night to ours, so without a moniter I hear them just fine. I used one for a little while with DS1 and I could never sleep with all the noises he made.
This! If she's happy then let her be!
I agree, when we first put her in her room we used the monitor for like 10 minutes - I could not sleep with the noise. The only time I use it now is if I'm downstairs. I know how long her naps usually are so I'm more aware of when she should be waking up.
I don't think there is any harm in letting her in her crib if she is happy.
I've left DS in his crib for an hour and a half already. But he's in there talking to himself, looking at books, and just generally playing. This gives me a chance to get my coffee/tea, eat something, shower, and just generally wake up. This makes for a better day for both of us. While I'm a "morning person", for the most part, I still need a little "boot-up" time before the day with DS gets started.
Obviously if he were crying or there was something wrong, I'd go in.
I was JUST thinking about this yesterday! I wondered if it's good or bad to leave him in there... He can roll around and play and "talk" for up to an hour. He snuggles with his lovey, plays with his feet, his binky, whatever. I usually let him for about 20 mins. In the morning we have to get up around 7 becuase we drive H to the train station to go to work. But when he wakes up from his nap, he just hangs out. I have a video monitor so I know he's happy and just playing. As soon as he seems wide awake (and I know he won't go back to sleep) or if he seems bored or starts fussing, I get him. Anywhere from 10 mins- 1hr.
I usually make my lunch when I hear him wake up, I eat, make his lunch, then go get him. It's rare that he wakes up fussy and I have to get him right away.
In the morning I just go get her.
At night time up to 25 or so minutes.
After two losses, third time was a charm.

I can't hear DS at all without the monitor. One night we forgot to turn it on and when I woke up in the morning and realized it, I went in there to find him crying his eyes out. Poor kid!
To OP: I would leave her if she's happy and goes back to sleep. I tend to get DS when he gets really loud but I also know that once he's up, he's up and he won't go back to sleep.
