While I didn't have a C-Section, I learned a lot during my 3-day stay at the hospital.
1) Bring like 3 pairs of comfy pants (yoga/PJ) to change into. Shirts, bring like 5 because your milk will most likely come in, and leakage is almost guarenteed. Also, Spit happens. I didn't even think about changing into my clothes until the last day, and I felt SOOO much better in normal clothes!
2) Bring a couple pillows you're in love with. Since you may not be able to get out of bed often (I had the crappy side of a shared room away from the window) I didn't really have anywhere to go...so it was nice to have my favorite pillows to help prop me up and keep me sane
3) I found that I used a lot less than I thought I would need- but SNACKS were the way to go. I had a ton of snacks, since I always seemed to be hungry when it was not-normal food time. Also they really suck at filling those water pitchers, so a couple Nalgenes or camel-pack bottles were helpful too.
4) I know most C-section patients get their own rooms, but bring headphones/iPod... screaming babies in the ajacent room can easily be drowned out with some soft music!
I had rare circumstances, but I was in the hospital for 6 days after my first section...things I didn't pack, but had brought to me as I laid there included:
My laptop & charger,
another of my favorite pillows (I brought one, wanted another ;-),
fluffy socks (slippers are necessary for walking around, but your feet get cold laying there and those hospital socks or regular socks just weren't cutting it for me),
CHAPSTICK (OK, Blistex...but something - I was so dehydrated after delivering - not sure if it was the hospital air or the physical trauma of the surgery or what,
everyone told me snacks, but my hospital had 24/7 room service - you called and they brought you food within 15 minutes, in addition to "tea time" when a cart with muffins/pastries/etc and a variety of drinks came around twice a day. I'll be at a diff hospital for this one and will surely pack snacks again, even though I didn't touch them last time (I prefer food-food vs snacks, so I always went for the hospital food, which was surprisingly good!),
yoga pants/sweats that have a LOW RISE, a nightgown just in case you want out of the hospital robe but are too sore for any type of pants, a bathrobe, your shower toiletries, and I brought a couple of swaddling blankets from home (so my little girl was jazzed in the nursery ;-) and a couple of pacifiers so she'd get used to those that I had and would be using instead of transitioning her from the hospital ones to the ones at home....although she never took a pacifier! Lol.
I also had a DVD player in my room so had some DVDs, my ipod and headphones.
I never wore anything other than the hospital gowns and my own robe. They check your stitches and change the dressing and putting too much pressure on my belly felt funny so I just stayed in the gowns. I do have 2 nursing nighties for at home that I take along in case I feel like wearing those. I also bring my slippers and slipper socks.
Bring a going home outfit for you, all your toiletries, pillows and electronics and whatever you want for the baby. I packed 1 bag with ALL our stuff in it together.

Since I didn't know how long I was going to be in the hospital (waters broke and we were trying to keep him in longer), my mom went and bought me like 5 night gowns. I wore those majority of the time except when they told me I had to wear a hospital gown for delivery and the day after when they were checking me and stuff.
I disagree with anything "low rise". My low rise panties and anything else hit right at the incision. I have a pair of exercise/yoga pants that I pretty much live in or my pj pants that come up mid-belly. My mom also had went and bought me a big pack of "granny panties" and as much as I would love to wear my regular panties, these are the only things I can wear comfortably right now.
I am dealing with a post c-section infection in my incision (due to an infection that was in my placenta when they pulled it out), so regular clothes, even maternity clothes is not working for me right now.
I agree with pretty much everything else everyone said.

Thanks ladies this is a lot of help.
I do hope to get my own room *fingers crossed*
