You know how when Bella is pregnant (sorry if that's a spoiler, but the commercials make it pretty apparent) and all she craves is blood because of the baby? I think I'm going through something similar, ha.
I'm not a vegetarian, but the only "meat" I eat (tehehehe, 8th grader at heart) is fish. I'll have organic turkey on Thanksgiving, and occassionally one of those organic turkey, nitrate free hot dogs if my H buys them (he eats poultry, but no pork or beef). I swear the only cravings I have are for meat products.
Early on I remember someone on here craving fried chicken and that was all I wanted (never indulged). At Thanksgiving I ate a lot of the turkey leftovers, I usually just have a small piece at T-Day and then never anymore. And two weeks ago I made crockpot (organic) chicken so I could shred it and have a buffalo chicken sandwich bc all I wanted was a chicken cheesesteak. Last night I came home and all I could think about was a steak or honey BBQ ribs, haha. I told my H wanted some sort of protein that wasn't eggs, yogurt, or beans, so he went and just got chicken cheese steaks from the pizza shop. I haven't had one of these in YEARS (like 4 years or so I guess not forever, but feels like it!) since we always buy chicken from whole foods if (he) wants to eat it, never eat it from restaurants. It was sooooo damn good and I can't wait to finish the other half for lunch today.
ok... sorry for dragging on. Felt like a confession. Your turn, what have you been craving thats totally out of the ordinary??
-- also, I apologize for sounding like we have a totally pretentious diet. We just really care about where our food comes from and what has been put in it (hormones, antibotics, pesticides, etc) before we eat it.... sorta a "you are what you eat" mentality.
Re: I feel sorta like Bella Swan-Cullen...
Vanilla bean cheesecake from TGI Friday's or Cheesecake Factory. I'm not a cheesecake fan at all, never have been. But I remember I had a small bite of a friend's dessert a few years ago and it was actually pretty good. On Saturday a friend posted on FB that she had a cheesecake in the oven. I immediately wanted some and then cried because they were closed. I've had a few slices of strawberry cheesecake from the grocery store but I think a trip for what I really want needs to happen this weekend.
Also, orange juice. Never liked it but now I'm drinking at least a gallon a week.
Idk if you know, but you can also eat sunflower seeds with no salt for protein.
Mmmm, this totally makes me want a huge steak this weekend. Too bad grilling season is over...but maybe I could convince Justin to grill a steak in the freezing weather...

At the end of the episode that is what was decided. And then when Joey was in London he got to eat meat because he was out of the country and it didn't count.
I totally get where you are coming from! I've been a vegetarian for 8 years and usually the thought of meat (especially beef and especially in ground form) really grosses me out. But there have been moments where I craved a big old burger! I was a little bit concerned that maybe it meant I was low on iron or protein, but luckily I've been getting plenty without compromising. I also never ate citrus fruit, but I'm now obsessed with oranges and clementines and eat one or the other every day.
