Bday Invite Advice!! (About gifts)

For our son's first birthday... I wanted to somehow say something on the invitation along the lines of "no preasents please" or something like that. I don't mind gifts but I feel like we will be overloaded with toys and I really don't want 1,000 toys around the house. I like education things, books, etc....

Anyone feel the same way? Should I say anything at all or let is happen?

    It's a nice idea, but most probably wont adhere to your request. If you do get a lot of toys, put half away w/o opening them, that way in 6 months you can rotate toys, put the one's out away and bring out the new ones. It's kind of a way to keep toys from getting old. If you REALLY don't want anyone bringing gifts you can always put a little line at the bottom like "Your presence is present enough, no gifts required" or sometime like that.

    Your right.... its hard to say no toys but how about some diapers? or gift cards? haha Like things we can actually use...
