I have an irrational fear of spiders and my husband loves to say he became a "mass murderer" because of me :P My DH on the other hand is terrified of doctors which is going to make our fertility testing coming up interesting to say the least.

Anyone else have a phobia of spiders or anything else?

Spiders for sure! YUCK! I will squeal and run away so fast!

Every night I check to make sure our doors are locked, and every night I wake up afraid that I forgot to check....

Maybe not a phobia, but an OCD thing, but I have to check my zipper repeatedly after using the restroom... I'm afraid I'll leave it down and scar my students for life! ha

The dentist.

Spiders, mice, rats, and creatures don't freak me out a tenth of amount the dentist does. I have a good dentist who knows how anxious I get but I just can't get past it.

A close second are elevators.

The Dentist and Spiders. The Dentist most definitely. I went 13 years without going. My teeth and gums had gotten so bad that my DH told me he wouldn't marry me unless I went to the dentist. I went, and I still go, but I have to take some serious anxiety medicine, and my DH has to stay in the room with me and have his hand on my foot the whole time. I know it sounds childish, but I freak out if he leaves the room. Fortunately, my dentist is wonderful! As far as spiders go? I just throw a phone book at it, luckily I have good aim! Or I put a shoe on the end of a golf club and squish it. If DH is home and still awake, he kills them.

Mine is heights to the point where at the fair years ago I tried to climb up some stairs to go down a huge slide the kind you ride with a bean bag and I stopped half way panicking. I thought I could do it but it doesn't help when 5 years olds are smacking your butt telling you to hurry up.

I'm very weird with blood, needles, and anything related to eyeballs. DH and my mom are both nurses, though, and I regularly have to stop them in the middle of work stories.

Driving... that's why I'll most likely never have a license. I'm also really scared of being in public surrounded by people while not being accompanied by anyone. Suffice to say I'm quite a mess of nerves when just trying to go about my daily life. haha.

I am terrified of sloths. Uugh they are so creepy and gross. I see them on tv and my stomach sinks. Once I was at a zoo and wandered into a room of them by mistake. I had to recover on a bench for a while. My friends love to tease me about it but they really freak me out.

Spiders for sure! My sister found a pretty big spider in her house & texted me the picture. In a mission to find out what it was, I google imagined "brown recluse" & boy did I jump up out of my chair & scream when ALL the pictures came up.

I scared the crap out of DH.

Being trampled.

I know its not like I live by the running of the bulls but if we were, say, leaving a sporting event in a big crowd I'm terrified of getting knocked down and trampled.

I have a fear of something being amputated, like a finger or a limb or something. It just freaks me out and seems like the worst possible thing ever.

I am afraid of heights, but not as much as I used to be. I've been trying to conquer that fear, and now I'm not afraid of the lifts anymore. Smile

I am terrified of fish. When I was training for my Ironman swimming in open water made me crazy. I can't snorkel or scuba dive. Though I can swim just don't want to see what is around me.

I have a fear of getting "stuck." That's the only way I know how to explain it. It's like claustrophobia and restless leg syndrome, but not. I feel "stuck" a lot under a blanket or if I have to many layers on and HAVE to move. It's terrible.

I'm still afraid of the dark to the point where I'll flip the switch off and run and jump into bed. I also hate lakes and oceans because I got my foot sliced open when I was swimming in the ocean one summer when I was 5.

Drowning, being in my car driving over a bridge when it collapses, my son dying in the middle of the night from SIDS. (He's 6 now so this is completely irrational, but I still check on him in the middle of the night whenever I wake up.)

Piers and draw bridges/high bridges over water. Low, stationary bridges don't bother me. I have no animal phobias, not even spiders

I think antiques, mostly anitque stores, are creepy. They are, by virtue of being an antique, very old items that might have meant a lot to someone and now they're being sold off to strangers. ::Here's where I start sounding crazy and irrationnal:: What if that item really meant something to the person that passed? So they stick around with it, etc. I wouldn't want to buy a vase and bring home a ghost with it.

Oh and I'm scared of squirrels too. I'm always afraid they'll jump on my head and bite me.

i have a very silly one and it even sounds silly when i say it but i hate getting wet when im dry like when you wash your hands and your sleeve gets wet and i skeeve when people touch me with wet hands!
