Dilated 1 1/2 and 100% thinned out

Went to the doctor today and he told me I'm dilated to 1 1/2 and 100% thinned out. He said I could go into labor any day but I could just as easily go to my due date (Jan. 9th). But he didn't really seem convinced that I would go to my due date, but it was kinda like he didn't want me to get too excited in case I do. I know you can be dilated for weeks as this is my 2nd pregnancy but I was never 100% thinned out untill I went into labor so I was just interested in hearing others stories. Was anyone else 100% thinned out, how long did it last?

    Yippee, that is great progress! I doubt you make it to your due date. I am dilated a 3 and 80% thinned. All we can do is wait to find out how much longer we will be pregnant....it is killing me.

    my OB didnt check me yet....they said next week......i guess i will see on wednesday if there is any progress.

    yes, I'm very ready to not be pregnant anymore lol but I'm gonna try and keep  from going crazy and doing everything to jump start labor. I want him to just come when he is ready. But I also want him to be ready soon! lol dilated to 3 is really good though, I was dilated to 3 and 75% effaced at 39 weeks with my first pregnancy and they decided I was progressed enough to induce since I was having high blood pressure, a couple days before they wouldn't do it because they said I would be in labor too long and would put too much stress on me and the baby.
