Your favorite moment from your wedding? We wrote our own vows and really that was just so special to me....a great moment!
Something you wish you could go back and redo? I was going for vintage glam but my dress was a little too pin-up (AKA: busty) on the top....looking back I would have made more alterations

How old were you when you got married? I was 25 but my birthday was the very next day
Where did you get married? Yorktown, VA
Your favorite moment from your wedding? Listening to my husband say his vows. Still gets me teary eyed
Something you wish you could go back and redo? I wish we would have had more time so we could have had family there. We were both active duty military at the time and in order for us to be co-located, we had to have a quickie ceremony. His parents had a big reception for us this past September.
What food did you serve? We had so much food I honestly can't even remember everything. I had really bad nausea and wasn't able to eat much of it.

Where did you get married? Grassy Hill Lodge in Derby, CT.
Your favorite moment from your wedding? How you can see us in the wedding video, sitting on the altar completely whispering to each other during mass lol... and our time together in the limo from the reception to where we went to take pictures. We had about a half hour ride and we opted for just us in our limo and I was so glad.

The caterers have a restaurant in Columbus so we can go there anytime!
Where did you get married? Columbus, OH...where we're both from.
Your favorite moment from your wedding? Walking down the aisle and seeing DH for the first time that day
Something you wish you could go back and redo? I wish I could go back and just do a beach wedding! It's what I always wanted but our families talked us into a church wedding with a TON of family invited. We paid for it so it ended up being very pricey to make the parents happy. Oh well!
What food did you serve? We had an amazing Italian buffet. Everyone STILL talks about our food! Yum
What were your wedding colors? hot pink, silver, and pops of yellow
How big was your wedding party? 3 bridesmaids and 3 groomsmen
Something cool or unique you did at your wedding or reception? I had my mom AND dad walk me down the aisle to give me away. Can't think of anything super unique at the reception. I made coloring books for the kiddos but I think that's pretty common!
How old were you when you got married? I was 23 about to turn 24
Where did you get married? We got married in the church that I grew up in and the church that my parents got married in. Our reception was at a hall inside of a local restaurant.
Your favorite moment from your wedding? The reception and our first dance.
Something you wish you could go back and redo? I would choose a few different bridesmaids. I made a big mistake with my maid of honor, I should have had both my sisters take that position instead of choosing a long time BFF, who stopped talking to me about 6 months after my wedding due to some drama one of my other BFF at the time caused. And while I talk to my other bridesmaid who was also a BFF and part of the same group (there was 5 of us) we are not as close anymore in fact before a few months ago I did not see her in years. It makes me sad that the one friend caused all of this and now none of them really talk to me.
On a positive note though- I love my husband and our daughter and unborn baby, ultimately they are all I need in life as my family is most important to me.
What food did you serve? We had a buffet style dinner. With beef tips and noodles, chicken, pasta dishes, salad, mashed potatoes, veggies, fruit and some other salads and stuff. We had a lot of complements on our food as there was plenty for people to take seconds if they wanted/needed too.
What were your wedding colors? Red and White
How big was your wedding party? 10
Something cool or unique you did at your wedding or reception? Most everything for the wedding was made by my mom and I. Including the flowers. I still have mine from the day.
Its a little slow....someone tell me something about your wedding!
How old were you when you got married? I was 24 and DH was 25
Where did you get married? In a Garden in Rhode Island
Your favorite moment from your wedding? Toward the end of the reception, everyone was on the dance floor for Meatloaf's Paradise By the Dashboard Light. not a single person was sitting, it was totally awesome.
Something you wish you could go back and redo? I wish I could have gotten a photographer, we barely got pictures.
What food did you serve? There was a buffet. All I remember was sausage and peppers. (I was pregnant at the time and it was the only thing I wanted.)
What were your wedding colors? Brown, Red and Orange (not pumpkin orange but a nice dark fall color orange.) We were married in the fall.
How big was your wedding party? 2 bridesmaids and MoH and 2 Groomsmen and BM

How old were you when you got married? 24 (Married in 2005)
Where did you get married? The lawn of the Plantation home on the farm where we live. Only wedding EVER to be held there. Big honor.
Your favorite moment from your wedding? The dogs ran up the middle of the isle and ran around the lawn. The two boys had tuxedo bows on and the girl had flowers around her neck. It was so fun and special to have them there. Since it was on the farm I wasn't worried about them going anywhere. (except my lab snuck to the lake during the reception and came back with a giant stick and was all wet!)
Something you wish you could go back and redo? All of the ridiculous posing pictures with family after the wedding. Enough already. I did not like my photographer....at all. That part makes me sad.
What food did you serve? We had a dessert buffet, champagne & wine bar (we also had regular finger foods, but those were off to the side, not center. We had an amazing cake and beautiful set up!
What were your wedding colors? Jim Hjelm bridesmaid dresses in cornflower blue. Red flowers for me and all sorts of pastels for the girls. Rose petals everywhere.
How big was your wedding party? 11
Something cool or unique you did at your wedding or reception? I've heard that the whole thing was unique. We had a classical guitarist & flutist and it echoed beautifully. This place is magical, untouched by time and very dear to my heart. Martha Stewart weddings was scheduled to send a photographer. She was arrested soon after I got the letter that they'd be there. Then getting the letter they were putting all wedding magazine stuff on hold was a big disappointment! They were getting ready to do a big southern wedding spread.
And just for fun. My grandmother and my GREAT grandmother:

How old were you when you got married? I was 25
Where did you get married? We got married in San Francisco at the Argonaut Hotel in the Cannery building
Your favorite moment from your wedding? Looking around the room and seeing all the people in our lives celebrating this day with us. I also loved our intimate pre-wedding Jewish ceremony.
Something you wish you could go back and redo? Everything was amazing- I would get some more formal family pictures, but otherwise not a thing.
What food did you serve? We served a duet of filet and halibut, some kind of salad, and a cheese tort app. We also had a massive buffet of Russian food, candy bar, desserts, and our wedding cake.
What were your wedding colors? I kept it mostly neutral with silver, champagne, black and pops of pink.
How big was your wedding party? 4 each
Something cool or unique you did at your wedding or reception? We had a mix of Russian family and all of our American friends and family and everyone had the best time dancing to all kinds of music. I loved getting everyone dancing in circles. We also switched and I took the garter off my hubby- he threw the bouquet.
Here are a few of my favorites:
How old were you when you got married? 22. DH was 29.
Keeping with the theatre theme, we used different plays and musicals to designate the tables at the reception.
Where did you get married? We got married on stage, which was awesome because DH and I are both theatre nerds! DH worked at a small theatre about 45 minutes north of Chicago at the time and they let us use the stage for our ceremony for next to nothing. Not only that, but they let us have the ceremony before they struck the set for the play they'd just finished, which was The Lion in Winter. So, the set was basically a castle. NGL, it was pretty badass.
Your favorite moment from your wedding? Probably the moment it was over, lol. I was so nervous that I didn't truly relax until after we kissed. Also, since DH and I are total cinephiles, during the ceremony our minister (DH's best friend) incorporated quotes from Spider-man (one of my favorites) and Casablanca (one of DH's favs) to talk about love and our feelings for one another. It was absolutely perfect.
Something you wish you could go back and redo? The walk down the aisle. I watched the video back and I look like I'm about to vomit the entire time, even though the aisle was like maybe 15 steps, lol.
What food did you serve? We had a buffet with 3 different dishes. I remember two of them being chicken marsala and beef stroganoff but I can't remember what the veggie dish was.
What were your wedding colors? Red!
How big was your wedding party? 3 bridesmaids, 3 groomsmen. I thought it would be perfect since DH has 3 brothers, but two of them ended up not being able to come so we had to replace them with my FIL and my best friend's boyfriend at the time. Now they're broken up and he's in all my wedding photos. Fail.
Something cool or unique you did at your wedding or reception? Since we got married in a theatre we made up mock playbills as the programs. Like, it listed me playing the part of the bride, DH playing the groom, etc. Also, DH and I both love the Muppets, so we had a Kermit & Miss Piggy cake topper on our cake. We also had a nice photo of Kermit and Piggy's wedding on the cover of our playbill.
Photos!
Where did you get married? At a church in town, then had our reception elsewhere
Your favorite moment from your wedding? Seeing my Dad, Mom and friend dance to thriller spontaneously
Something you wish you could go back and redo? Our flowers - we had a friend do them and although I loved my bouquet, I didn't really like the church flowers
What food did you serve? Baked chicken with fresh veggies and some other side - we got a lot of compliments!
What were your wedding colors? Chocolate and pink
How big was your wedding party? 5 Bridesmaids and 4 groomsmen plus 2 flower girls
Something cool or unique you did at your wedding or reception? I honestly have no idea!
We were 36 when we got married. Our colors were lilac, cornflower blue and canary yellow. We got married in the town we live in and had reception in Hershey PA, about 30 mins from wedding site. We served alot of Italian food, DH is part Italian. Our wedding party had 14 people not including DH and myself. The day was really amazing. The only thing I wish we could do over was the fact that we wrote our own vows and the minister forgot that we did that and we had the traditional vows. Luckily no one knew we did that except the maid of honor and best man.
How old were you when you got married? Me:32/DH 38

Where did you get married? On the beach in Key Largo
Your favorite moment from your wedding? Walking down the aisle after saying "I DO"
Something you wish you could go back and redo? I wish I would have spent more time on me, I see all these beautiful brides and I feel like I looked like I do when going to work..frizzy hair and plain face
What food did you serve? Mustcacholli (sp)? and all kinds of little appetizers things, my wedding was very low key and outside.
What were your wedding colors? Turqouise and tan..I was going for a water/sand theme.
How big was your wedding party? My best friend was my maid of honor and DH's brother was his best man..thats it
Something cool or unique you did at your wedding or reception? I cant think of anyting cool or unique that we did..at least not right now
My family
Love the outakes of them not cooperating..they are my brats! This is Bella stealing the show
I did like this one (you can see the sand dollars a little more that I used to spell the words) but my chest was too exposed so we didn't use this one and Sadie is giving Bella a dirty look
Just me and my hubby
The centerpieces..the palm tree boxes held personalized m&ms and the sand dollars had palm tree papers that had our name and date on them.
And finally saying " I DO" as much as I miss home (STL) I am thankful that we lived in Key Largo when we got married, it was such small, peaceful, intimate wedding and I know if it was home, it would have been crazy, here it was what matters. Me and DH and our closests friends and family!

How old were you when you got married? -Um...I do believe that I was 20

Where did you get married? -I got married in a beautiful church!
Your favorite moment from your wedding? -My husband saying his vows. We wrote our own! Our wedding was far from traditional!
Something you wish you could go back and redo? -Honestly...my dress and my make-up! I fell in love with a ball gown dress with sleeves but my mom hated it so I got the one she loved instead. It was a beautiful dress, but I didn't feel like me. And when I got my make-up down, the girl took and put some kind of mascara stuff on my eyebrows...which are already BLACK and THICK AS HELL!! So...my make-up looked horrible to me!
What food did you serve? -Mainly finger foods. Nothing heavy.
What were your wedding colors? -Teal, burnt orange, and chocolate brown. Teal is my favorite color, burnt orange is my husband's, and the chocolate brown kinda tied them together!
How big was your wedding party? -Hm...15 people (includes bride, groom, bridesmaids, groomsmen, flower girls and ring bears)
Something cool or unique you did at your wedding or reception? -For one, neither my husband or I wore dress shoes! I wore my chuck taylors and he wore his DCs. People tend to get caught up in the whole wedding thing that they forget to let themselves, their real selves, shine through! I wanted to make our wedding our own, and we did!!!
How old were you when you got married? 20, but basically 21 as my birthday was only two months later. Some people weren't too happy about us marrying so young.
Where did you get married? A really pretty little local park. Lots of big, mature trees and green space, flower gardens. It's a really quiet little park, out of the way so not too many people seem to go there. It was the perfect setting for us.
Your favorite moment from your wedding? Hmm... dancing with my husband. He has never danced before! This was the first time I got to dance with him. Our first dance was literally our first dance. Haha. But, I'm talking about the party and reception dancing. It was great and so much fun! I wish we could do it more often. Oh, and smearing cake in his hair was pretty fun, too. And it wasn't exactly part of the wedding, but when I woke up that morning I felt like a princess. I had stayed the night in this gorgeous, big home that had been converted in to a bed and breakfast and the room was just so beautiful and when I woke up the sun was shining and there was a wonderful breeze coming through the window. It was just perfect.
Something you wish you could go back and redo? The timings were a little bit rushed and the photographer didn't get the opportunity to get a lot of good shots because of it. I was a little bit disappointed in that. Also, the weather was blistering! I swear it was the hottest day of the year and I was in that big poofy gown and my poor husband was wearing his military DUs which are really, really heavy and dark. I felt so bad.
What food did you serve? Chicken. Nothing super fancy but I swear it was the best chicken meal I had ever had!!! Later on around ten we had some snacks, sandwiches, fruits and veggies and cheeses, etc.
What were your wedding colors? Black, white and pink. I liked the classic black and white, but I needed a splash of colour and something to reflect my personality, so I added in all different hues of pink. The colours just looked great together. Very sharp.
How big was your wedding party? Three bridesmaids, a flower girl, and two groomsmen. No it wasn't evenly matched, but whatever.
Something cool or unique you did at your wedding or reception? My dogs were my ring bearers! I have two wonderful little shelties who mean the world to me and it was really important to me that they were a part of the wedding because they are my babies. So, the flower girl walked the dogs up the aisle and when it came time for the rings each dog had one on a little pouch around their necks. It was really sweet.
Also, my husband and I are both from scottish backgrounds so we incorporated a few scottish traditions such as hand fasting, the horse shoe given to the bride by the youngest guest, the tartan, and of course the piper and highland dancing.
How old were you when you got married? 25
Where did you get married? Baltimore
Your favorite moment from your wedding? Seeing H get teary-eyed as I came down the aisle. Also hearing "what a gorgeous dress" as I walked down - lol. that was a nice self-esteem boost.
Something you wish you could go back and redo? Um my venue screwed a lot of stuff up at the wedding. It was still a great wedding and most of the guests didnt realize anything was wrong, but looking back I would have been on top of the venue a lot more and less worried about looking like a bridezilla.
What food did you serve? I can't remember the apps haha! For dinner we had filet and shrimp risotto.
What were your wedding colors? Green and orange. It was fabulous.
How big was your wedding party? Um. LOL. I had 10 BMs, plus a junior BM plus 2 FGs. Our wedding party was huge. It was a ton of fun though.
Something cool or unique you did at your wedding or reception? We had a really awesome candy buffet - my mom ordered all this candy from various gourmet candy stores across the country, it was intense.
BONUS POINTS FOR A PIP I'm at work, no PIPs :-(
How old were you when you got married? We we're both 29
Where did you get married? On a golf course in Michigan, during the fall. It was full of fall color and beautiful.
Your favorite moment from your wedding? Dancing with my grandfather and taking pictures with a friend. Both died a couple months later. They were my last fond memories of both.
Something you wish you could go back and redo? My DJ did not listen to us at all and played music we didn't want.
What food did you serve? Full Thanksgiving dinner. It was delicious and we still hear rave reviews about it.
What were your wedding colors? The wedding party wore black, MH black with an ivory vest, me and flower girls were in ivory. It was very pretty against all the reds, golds, and greens on the golf course.
How big was your wedding party? 8 bridesmaids, 6 groomsmen, 2 flower girls, 1 ring bearer
Something cool or unique you did at your wedding or reception? Most of my wedding was made up of family members. The reverend was my cousin, the saxophone player (part of the 4 piece band at the ceremony) was my cousin, some of the decor was made by other family members.
* I don't have any pics on this computer, but the pumpkin in my SN photo is from our wedding. MH carved it and it sat on the cake table. I love that pumpkin!
Where did you get married? Central NY
Your favorite moment from your wedding? Seeing MH for the first time
Something you wish you could go back and redo? Not crying at every little thing! I was so nervous, and when I get nervous I cry!
What food did you serve? For dinner, guests were able to choose between vegetarian lasagna, beef tenderloin, or a stuffed chicken
What were your wedding colors? Pink and Orange
How big was your wedding party? 4 on each side
Something cool or unique you did at your wedding or reception? Instead of the garter/bouquet toss we did longest married couple, which was fun for the older folks!
~Fitness Blog~
I'll go ahead and submit my answer since it'll be buried among the other 30 hehe
I will be 19 when we get married.
We'll have the ceremony at our church and the reception as this hall down the road.
