Something he wouldn't have already, I am sure he has the gamut of traditional favorites in terms of board games, chess etc. Thought maybe there were some newer fun things out for that age group that I don't know about?
Thanks!
Sorry for typo in subject, on iPad and can't figure put how to edit that part of subject line....
Re: Any good game ideas for 13 yr old boy?(not video, regular board or similarmtype games)
My brother and I played Stratego a lot when we were younger. DH and his buddies do a yearly Risk game night where they get drunk (not suggesting this for a 13 year old) and conquer the world.
Othello, Upwards, Yahtzee Poker are fun too. I grew up in a board game home.
I like the card games: like the monoply one. Fun and doesnt take 6 years to play
I'm getting my older nieces and nephew Settlers of Catan. And I've heard good things about Ticket to Ride.
DS2 - Oct 2010 (my VBAC baby!)
Apples to Apples! My high schoolers used to want to play that allllllllllll the time.
Scattergories is another good one. My DH and his brothers used to love to play Risk, too. So much that their parents had to take it away and ban them from playing it because they'd get too competitive.
I've heard good things about "Would You Rather?"
