Is cooked sushi safe?! All week I've been eating bland carbs like bagels or baked potatoes and now all of the sudden I want my sushi back! There's an awesome place around the corner and I miss it so much. Can I eat it if the fish is cooked? Like a shrimp tempura roll or something? I've heard yes and no... someone said no because they could use the same knife that they use on raw fish, but c'mon!!!! That seems a little crazy. I obviously want what's best for my baby, but a contaminated knife from fish that has about a 1% chance of being bad?!

The knife/mat thing seems a bit far fetched to me, only because when you are eating something someone else prepared there is ALWAYS the chance of cross contamination, be it sushi or at a diner or at a fancy steak place.
I eat cooked sushi during pregnancy and frigging love it
This post makes me happy in my pants.
:D I know this place in Denver, called Hapa's, and they have a LOT of cooked / baked sushi - one called the Multiple Orgasm, and trust me. It's as delicious as the name of it. It's shrimp tempura in a roll with some cooked salmon, smothered in sauce and then breaded on the outside.
