Hi everyone!
I am new to this site and to trying to conceive. All of this stuff is new to me. So here's my story...
I'm 27. I'm a newlywed. My husband and I have started ttc. I have been on the pill since 2005, and stopped taking it a month ago. I do have hypothyroidism (controlled). I'm afraid this will cause me problems. Also, it took my mom about a year and a half to conceive me. She also had endrometriosis (sp?) and while I haven't been diagnosed with it, I know that my chances of having it are higher.
In high school, I never had regular periods. In fact, I had my period MOST of high school and very very heavy at times. Turns out it was because I had hypothyroidism. So, I don't really know what my "normal" cycle is like. I was honestly afraid that once I stopped taking the pill that would all come back. But my last pill was over a month ago and it's been great so far. Per my app, I should start my period tomorrow.
The past week or so, I've been having pregnancy symptoms - nausea, headaches and fatigue. But I took a First Response test this morning and it was negative. So, I will wait another week to see what happens.
But I guess I'm just looking for encouraging words - people with hypothyroidism and your experiences, post birth control stories...anything would help
So, I guess I'm just I'm just looking for stories.
Re: My first time TTC
Welcome!
I would also recommend reading the TTGP board as well. They have some awesome insights for US newbies
I am also TTGP for the 1st time and have learned quite a bit over there.
