Our church is doing something called the "Big Give." Instead of the church pastors deciding who/what organization should get the $$, they took out $25,000 for the church members to give out in our community however they see fit.
Helping a single mom buy groceries. Seniors afford a prescription. Keeping someone's light's from being shut off. Whatever.
Each family has $100 to give away. What would you do? How would you give it away? Would you give all of it to one person or bless many people with smaller amounts?
DH and I want to know your thoughts and help us come up with ideas! Thanks!
Re: (NBR)...How would you give away $100?
We went and got a star/angel from Walmart and bought stuff for a little 1 1/2 month old boy--diapers, wipes, clothes.
These days a hundred dollars doesn't go very far, so I figure helping out one family is better because your giving to that one family, but it's also multiple people too.

I would go to my sons school and see if they collect winter coats for kids who don't have them. Maybe they have a list of sizes or gender needed.
A lady who writes on a blog I follow (millionsofmiles.com) does the 12 Days of Christmas Kindness each year. It is a tradition she started with her kids. You could do something like that and do a little something each day. I think it is an idea we will start when our LO is older.
Another idea would be to give it to a pregnancy center to use for one or two girls since you know how much baby stuff costs!
