Whole Foods Formula?

I'm planning on weaning LO when he is 12 months, and am thinking about going ahead and doing the bedtime feeding soon (he is hardly eating anything at that time anyway).  A friend of mine mentioned some sort of formula they sell at Whole Foods ... has anyone used this?

Re: Whole Foods Formula?

  • I have used the E arth's B est one and another one that they sell there when my supply ran low. I am also pretty sure that you can order them on diapers dot com as well.

If he isn't really nursing that much before bed and he is getting enough liquid during the day then maybe you could just feed him a little more for dinner with a sippy of water and just skip the bottle. For me, it was always easier to just wean from nursing as opposed to having to wean from nursing and a bottle, kwim?

  • Thanks. Good point on that ... I just worry because he can't really use a sippy yet so I'm not sure how much water he is really getting. He nurses SOME, just not a ton. I might just keep going until I wean entirely, but mama wants her nights free again!
  • They sell this at WF. This is what I plan on using if needed.

  • they sell both of the brands mentioned so far at our HEB.  i've used both.  we bought our earths best on amazon for the best price, but we needed a ton of it.  if you're just doing one bottle a day a tub should last a month or so.
  • ps- i have organic formula if you want to walk over and get a few oz for him for tonight.  that way you can see if he likes it before you drop $ on it
  • Thanks everyone! Mollie - thanks so much - I'll def take you up on that! I'll grab some tomorrow...
