Trying to Get Pregnant

Home Pregnancy Test - Pregnant?

I took a clear blue pregnancy test this morning (1-3 days before my expected period), and at first it showed a bright positive line, then the test finished and the positive line was faint, now a few minutes later I can't see it at all.  What does this mean? I have taken many many pregnancy tests before and never had one go bright positive right away.

  • Take a test with pink dye like a First Response Test. Good luck

  • I'd take another test, different brand. First Response has a good rep around these parts.

Kind of an important question for an internet message board, no? Would you accept our answers if we could give them definitively?

  • If it's blue dye they're known for false positives. I'd got buy a digi and see what it says.
  • Go buy a dollar store test, or anything that's not a blue dye test, and test again.

  • Test again with a different brand.

  • I'd take another test.
  • I would get a digital. There are no lines to try to figure out - it's either "pregnant" or "not pregnant."

Blue dye tests are notorious for false positives.  I highly recommend you buy a pink dye test and test again in the morning with FMU.

    Good luck!

  • Stay away from blue dye tests.  They are notorious for false positives.

Test tomorrow with FMU on a pink dye test, like First Response.

I had looked on clear blue's site and they didn't have anything on this which is why I thought I'd ask other people in the same boat.

I didn't know that about clear blue and blue dye pregnancy test, thanks for the tip!  I have one more (since it was a two pack) so I will try it but also get a first response.

    Thanks everyone!
