I'm trying to help DH settle on gifts for his staff. This is from our family to theirs (the company's not paying) so cash isn't an option. I'd like to do something a little less obvious than a Harry and David gift basket, but something that's about that easy. Budget is probably up to $50-ish each, but spending less would be awesome.
Ever received anything from a boss that you enjoyed that fits the bill?
Re: Ever received a good gift from your boss?
Married and it feels so good!
my boss tries her very best with gifts. It never really works out (although I really am appreciative of her sincere thought).
The only thing that goes over great 100% of the time is gift cards. One year she did simon gift cards... and that was nice. A signed check is nice, too. ;-)
"The House We Built."
A journey of building the dream.
not for everyone but my boss set up an office wine tasting once and bought us all a nice bottle of wine. That was awesome! But of course we were all big whinos.
Gift cards are cool too.

In 2006, I received an 8% bonus. That was an awesome holiday!
However, the sweetest gift I ever received was two gift cards (Starbucks and Target) at $25 each and a tin of the boss's wife's homemade brownies. She made brownies for every employee (20 of us.) It was very sweet.
I say gift cards are the way to go if you're on a budget.
